BX or GR2110 for mowing + snow ?

GR is a great mower but the front blade is junk. The BX mows great and moves snow with no problems. The extra money is cash well spent. I had a GR for almost two years but traded it in for a BX and glad I did.

BX hands down. if you gonna finance it- get the front mount blower in the deal- not because it might be back ordered and has rear in stock. Either a blower or front plow will work for you.

Thanks for the advice! I don't understand how financing makes a difference to which attachments I get - are there some that can't be financed or have different rates?

Zero money is zero interest money. In other words, getting what you want, at zero interest rates is just the bee's knees. Ask your dealer which implements you want are included in the zero offer.

The point is this, I suspect. Don't settle. Don't compromise. Get the attachments you really want/need. Obviously, one wouldn't purchase unneeded or unwanted implements just because of zero interest. But, there have been a number of guys on here say, "I wish I had gotten the ______ when I was financing at zero. You only sorta get one bite at that apple, really.

ORD,

I have to agree with all the previous posts. The BX over the GR. The BX will be way more flexible with your tasks. The loader alone with your size of property will be very usefull. The resale value if you want to trade later or get rid of it will be much greater with the BX. Think of all the implements you can attach later on for the BX vs GR. They both don't compare.

He couldn't say it better then I can. Case in point- I added a bush hog brand tiller in the finacing deal because I needed a tiller. I didn't want a cheaper TSC brand, although there has been reports it been fine with many folks.

So get the BX, not GR. Add attachements in the deal for things you KNOW you will use. get the front blade with FEL or front blower and FEL.
You will be using the FEL like there no tomarrow for everything like wheelbarrow work, cleaning up tasks, firewood, etc all year around. How much snow do you get at a time ? if you never get more then 3" then a plow will do fine. If you get 3-12 inches often then a blower will make you happy due to the length of driveway you have even with a gravel drive. you just need to adjust shoes until driveway has frozen base. I hope all these tips from me and others helps. :)

One last word. The front blade is AWESOME!! I plow in a 130" a year climate, so this isn't some guy who doesn't really have to face serious snow, I do. I dislike blowing. I dislike the clogging and back drifting on you in the wind. I also dislike anything that requires me to spend an hour or two cranking my neck and spine backwards!! No sir. But that's me.

And.. and this is big. I have a wide open front acre. I have big ol' wide areas to push the snow. If your drive is narrow and you have no place to shove the snow? A blower allows you to throw it back into side woods or whatever. You choose what is best for your personality, physicality and terrain. Best Wishes.

If you get the BX, be sure to get the front end loader as well. It'll turn your lawn machine into a very expensive 4WD wheelbarrow. :D

As if you needed more.....the resale of the BX is much higher too. Factor that in and the true cost of ownership for the BX probably is actually less....
