Building a hydraulic log lift for splitter

/ Building a hydraulic log lift for splitter #51
JJ that is exactly what I have done but it won't go high enough. So I cut it lose moved the lift to the right hight then tacked the cylinder , but now it won't go all the way down ... I have done this several , several , times in different locations with different brackets of various length. I can not seem to find the right spot . Idk ? I can't post any pics today , but maybe some tomarrow . It is a simple idea but it is kicking my butt . I have a I beam with bearings and a shaft along one side just under where the slide goes over the top of it . I have two cradle arms that go down to the ground to form a L .I put the cylinder under the beam sloped to the L tried to keep both hinge points as close as I could .
