bucket extension

Tired of makin so meny trips to the manure pile. Wife is getting tired of the muddy tracks to it also. So in an effort to cut down time tramming and the number of passes thru the mud... I thru together a bucket extension today. Can get 3x the horse manure in there now.

Did you have to add extra rear ballast for the extra weight in bucket?

Its horse manure mixed with hay... not gravel! No issues with rear ballast, even with just the box blade on the rear. Normally have the brush hog back there. I do have the tires loaded tho. Not that added rear ballast wouldn't help... I plan to make a rack on the BB to hold a few cement blocks for that very reason.

my bucket is bowed pretty bad ,it was like that when i got it ,need to pull it back up and weld in a piece in the center to hold it.

Since it's bolted in, I'm guessing you don't use the bucket for much else?

Right now, no, its not getting used for much else. Cleaning stalls is the only reason its come outta the barn for the past month. And in 5 min or less I could remove it, only has 4 small bolts holding it in. I plan to replace the fasteners
with wing nuts so no tools are needed but untill then... yup it works great. Simple effective and best of all free. Nice having everything you need to make an idea work right there on hand.
