Tractor
bota 5700
My 5700 is kinda of jumpy at higher speeds on the road. It's bad enough that you move the suspension seat up and down. Is this normal? What could be the cause. I bought the tractor new. It didnt do this when i got it.

No suspension will cause this. :) Colder temps = slightly harder tires? Check air pressure. Nothing to worry about.

It was doing to before it got cold. I will check the pressure in the tires. If something is wrong. I want to catch it before the warranty runs out.

Nothing is wrong. Tractor tires get flat spots from sitting, they work out with use. The problem is worse in colder weather. Most are bias ply nylon, which is notorious for this. In another century, truck tires had the same issues. Under inflation also amplifies the situation. Just bounce along & enjoy the ride!

I had the same problem on my new L3400. Jack up the rear so the tires are an inch or so off the ground. Make sure it's not in 4x4 mode, (ask me how I know  ) and have someone run the thing. On mine, one rear tire had a defective side wall on the tire and it would wobble. Check closely from the side and from behind the machine. Hope this helps.

I don't see how a defective sidewall would show up well after purchase. There's nothing wrong with the tractor.

You must be able to see his tractor better than I. In my case, the side wall had a deformity that went unnoticed for quite a while. The ONLY time I noticed the bouncing was when I drove it on a smooth road and at full speed. When I jacked it up and looked, the tire had runout (side to side) of about 3/4 of an inch. The tire manufacture did replace the tire under warranty. Tractor was 4 months old at that time.

But this tractor and I would imagine the tires are three years old. Would a tire manufacturer warranty them now?

Not sure about tractor tires but some auto tire manufacturers will credit based on % of tread left.
