Bobcat ct440 missing hst pedal damper/spring?

Hello,

I was recently out in my woods and had a little excitement when I couldn't get my tractor to stop. After inspecting the tractor I found I'd lost a part that looks like it should be some sort of damper or spring that would attach to the circled . whatever was there must have broke or was taken off by brush?

The local Bobcat dealer sold me part number 1 from this diagram . They didn't have any other Bobcat tractors for me to compare mine to let alone an older one. I returned the part as there is no way that it will work. I noticed the parts diagram says ct445 even though the service tech was looking under the ct440 list.

If anyone has an 08/09 440 I would appreciate it if I could get a picture or an idea of what part I actually need. I'm not getting anywhere locally here.

I looked on my CT445. On the side with the forward/reverse pedals it has what your picture shows.

There's a spring approx 1/2" diameter connecting the pieces where you have drawn the red circle.

There's a picture (P-81577) of it on page 30-40-1 of the CT440,CT445,CT450 Service manual

Note that the text block with P-81577 obscures part of the picture of the spring.

I'm unable to locate an expanded drawing or any other reference to the part.

BTW you might ask the moderator to move your thread to the Bobcat tractor section of the forum as it doesn't relate to general hydraulics.

I did a little more digging in my book and found a another picture as well in the maintenance manual. Now that I know what i'm looking for maybe i can make some progress at getting the right part. last resort maybe i can find something at the hardware store that would work.
