Hose pop today while working on stumps.
Does it matter where I pick up the replacement hose for my 757c backhoe?
JD is 10 minutes from me mF is 5 min NH is 30min.
tractor supply is 10 minutes is there any difference in quality with the hoses?

Some people stick to brand names. Others just go by pressure ratings. If all the hoses read 3000 psi on them, they all should work the same.

Take your old hose in and when made up, check for size, and proper fittings.

By all means, get an estimate before they start making that hose.

You will probably find a great difference in prices. You could also get it off the Internet for less, if time is no big deal.

You can check your local phone book for hydraulic hoses. Make sure you clean all the oil out of it before you bring it in. A little brakleen will work good. I would also call around and see what/if anything your local places use to clean a freshly made hose with. If you find a place that uses the Ultra-Clean system, go there. You would be surprised at all the crap that's in a new hose. If nobody cleans them, flush it out with a garden hose then compressed air to get the water out. Getting a price first is a good idea. All hoses are not made the same. Stick with the name brands. Good luck. Andy

JJ,
Thanks for the fast reply,I needed it right away - ended up with NH I found a better route 15 minutes- I brought the old one with me like you said. I paid $46.00 for 5' hose with new fittings just had to swap out my Q/D plug. made it right in front of me --While I was there I asked if I could use other hoses and they said to go with JD or Nappa auto parts if needed.

Wayne County Hose,
Thanks I clean the hose then installed it went right back at stumps --seems like I have more power I ripped through roots like they were twigs I see a hose can make a difference or cleaning may have help.

Thanks guys for the help...
