After doing a search I am somewhat confused - normal for me. Did a bit of plowing yesterday with the bucket as I always have done, and while OK there must be an easier way. I have the quick attach plate on my loader and two remote connection up front too to operate a plow blade (current use is my hay grapple) while still having full loader arm control (lift and tilt). I'm am guessing that a 7' blade would fit, but have no knowledge how to size. What brands and models can folks recommend. I saw the Hiniker brand mentioned several times. I see the quick attach folks have one too. What makes for a good plow set up over others. However I would still like to back drag my drive in front of the garage like I can with my bucket - will these plows allow this? I do have chains for all four wheels.
Thanks for any help.

Hi. Not sure but I think your CT 235 is the same as the 35 HP version of the Kioti and I have a 7 foot plow on mine. It can be a bit much with deep, wet snow if going too fast. Seems like the back end wants to swing if pushing too much and yes, I have chains on all four wheels (4x4, too). If using hydraulics to angle blade, ensure you get a cross-over relief valve in case you hit something solid. It will relieve pressure to protect the entire loader system. Another issue with my blade is that it is quite heavy, (HLA 2000) and weighs about 600 lbs so can try to dig into gravel if curl set too aggressive. Yes, you can back blade.

Hope this helps

I bit the bullet and bought a 3pt snow blower after 8hrs of digging out 18-36" of crusted snow with the bucket.

Scooping/dumping/back dragging with the FEL works fine for moderate amounts of snow. If we get a dump of 'Colo Concrete' it can take forever to clear it off with the FEL. The blower cuts through it like a knife and doesn't create high edge piles along the sides of the road that quickly blow the road closed when the wind causes drifting to fill-in the space between the road edges

If the snow is soft and fluffy I use a chain harrow to mix it up and the wind blows it away.

Answer really depends on how much road you have to clear and how deep/wet the snow

Regarding an actual snowplow blade, need to be careful not to tweak the loader arms pushing a big load of wet snow. Although it's fun to play 'Mr Bulldozer' with a CUT, they're not built to that task.

I agree, and I also have a 3pth blower on the back of my Kioti. It is my weapon of choice but it can be a problem when doing long and winding farm lanes/driveways. It is also important to know that with plowing, you must ***/u/me that there will be a bad snow year and so plow much wider than normally required as the banks will start narrowing your lane quickly. They can also impede vision at road intersections by late winter if you been piling it up. It takes a fair effort to relocate banks you built up over the course of the winter, if you come to realize there was more snow than anticipated.
