And Albatrosses in 2050?
And collector items shortly there after. Just hope there is a grandfather clause to allow us to drive them legally.

Tesla hit with complete network outage, leaving drivers unable to connect to cars using mobile app | Daily Mail Online

Access to mobile apps of all types is a concern we all have in this internet age. Hanging onto a physical key sounds like a good idea. My concern is this happening to my bank access.

"The mobile app holds a digital key and and only owners who have a physical version have been able to access and drive their vehicle - leaving those without stranded."

This has happened before, but perhaps to a lesser extent. To my knowledge, all Teslas come with a physical key. The drivers affected are the ones that chose to rely solely on the mobile app. That's not a bright move, IMHO.

CA is too green to back off from doing this.

You need to look at their promise to eliminate all coal and gas power plants. Lasted until the first big problem came along, now they are peeing backwards and saying maybe gas is better than nothing. Ca. has been a leader in a lot of clean air technology, which I applaud, but they are also known to let their alligator mouths overload their hummingbird hineys.

I really like living in the part of the state that we live in but would never consider living in any of the over regulated cities. We have pretty much solar everything but still heat with wood in the winter. I expect the rest of the state to follow San Francisco & Oakland in the near future and make us get rid of our wood stoves, fire places, and charcoal burning BBQ's. That just might be enough to run me out of here. Problem is you can't take the climate with you.
