I'm looking at a Recoil w/o the rear independent suspension (can't see 3 grand more for that the way we'll use it), 4x4, 72v electric.

Anybody got one or experience with one ?

No experience, they don't want to sell me one on the West Coast :cool:. But I want one, so Ill be watching for responses.

Interesting vehicle. But most annoying. You look it up and find all the (useless and unimportant ) features and not a darn thing about how the machine operates.

Does it have a drive train, back to front, and single motor? Does it use flooded lead acid batteries and are they under the seats?

Is it available in a more utilitarian version with larger bed?

If they're anything like lifted golf carts (which they are usually with dual motors) they will die too early, batteries won't last more than a few years and they're so heavy you can't push them when they die.

Handy but I'd rather a gas buggy for deep Woods or trails.

Around the farm or the racetrack or something where you're always close to the shop they're probably great.

One with a generator would be Ok.

Dual motors, no drive train. Trojan batteries, either 6-12v or 9-8v depending on model, under the seat.

Shoot! That must mean twelve batteries! That is a lot of weight it has to carry. Thanks for the info.

No, either SIX 12v or NINE 8v depending on the model...not 12.


My current golf cart has SIX 8v batteries (48v system)

Does anyone have any experience with the Intimidator Classic Electric? I'm in the market for a UTV and am interested in Intimidator but not finding much info in the way of owner experiences - specifically the electric. I have a fairly steep paver path between my house and dock and am in the market for a UTV that will get me up and down the hill plus do some medium-duty work in the yard.

My concerns are the ability to climb the hill (approx. 23 degree incline), how long a charge will last and the availability of service/parts for the brand.
