trying to make the decision between both of these tractors. The kubota was quoted at $12400 with loader while the 4110 was quoted at 14300 with loader. Am i missing something. Whats the difference it seams that they are pretty much the same tractor. Please help.

I think if you look at the details there are some differences that matter to some, but not to others. I don't think the 7510 has a positional control for the 3pt, nor a Kubota BH that fits, things like that. I don't remember the details anymore. If I find my list, I'll post it later.

john deere dealer's reason for me not to buy a Kubota

B7510 ($12400) vs JD4110 ($14300)

(1) We have a key shutoff they don't.
(2) We have an auto bleed system they don't.
(3)We have an independent pto system theirs is a dry pto clutch which requires to step on everytime you use the pto. Ours is egaged by pulling a button.
(4) Their treadle pedal system is not as operator friendly as ours.
(5) We have dual dry air elemnt they have single.
(6) We have a coolant recovery reservoir they don't.
(7) We have an air restriction indicator: they do not.
(8) We have an operator presence system for pto, transmission and starting system.
(9)Our mfwd is shift on the go: theirs require you to stop the tractor.
(10) Our joystick is integrated into the tractor, so you always have two remotes, even with loader off. Theirs is attached to the loader.
(11)Our operator station is flat& easier to work on for many hours theirs has more of a hump in the middle.
(12)our fenders & hood material is much more durable than the tin they use and its quieter and stays nicer looking longer.

Well wHat do you guys think is the john deere worth the extra $1,900. Oh he said better resell value for the john deere

I believe your JD dealer may be a bit misleading. The new 7510 does have a key shut off. Stepping on the clutch to engage the PTO is no big deal. I personally find the pedal configuation on the Bota better but that is strickly operator preference. The air cleaner is a dual paper element. The 7510 has an operator present system in the seat. I do not have to stop to swith into 4 wheel drive maybe I should don't know. The operator platform is just a flat as the Deere maybe more so. The thin tin as the salesman says on the Bota is plastic on the Deere.
Both are fine tractors, best advice go try each out and you be the judge the JD may be worth the difference to you.
The only real advantage I see for the JD is the seat is slightly more comfy, and it does have position control, whereas the Bota has quarter inch valving.
Depending on your specific uses for the tractor this may not be an issue. I use mine primarily for mowing and brush cutting and have never missed the position control.
$1900 would by some nice implements.
Have fun shopping and good luck. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I favor Kubota, but in all fairness I think the B2410 compares better to the Deere 4110 than the 7510 if you compare apples to apples. The prices would probably be closer as well.

The Kubota pedal system is far more intuitive than the dual pedal JD machines.

I struggled with the non-position control when I bought my B7500, but after using it I realized it was a non-issue.

The re-sale on the Kubota is as good, if not better than the John Deere.

Kubota puts THIER name on the tractor and engine....

I'll take metal over plastic every time.

You know, you can spend a lot of time looking at stats, but getting to a dealer that will let you drive one around the lot will make all the difference. Like everyone says, they're all good machines. If you have specific overriding uses, then there are probably features that you have to have which may rule out one machine or another, but when you drive them, I promise you will not like them all the same amount.

I found the treadle thing really bizzare to drive with and not the least bit intuitive. I found that on a New Holland I felt cramped with my feet not out far enough in front of me. When I sat on and drove the Deere, it felt right for me.

But for you, the two pedel arangement may be wierd and the New Holland may have too much room and the Kubota may just feel right on the mark. For the hundreds of hours working your tractor, you want what feels the most comfortable and does the job.

Get out there and drive some around.

I agree, by the way, that the 2410 is a more appripriate comparison for the 4110, but you'll find that usually the different makes don't line up well for direct comparisons. You may find apples and apples, but one will be Granny Smith and the other will be Gala.

One more thing, John Deere has a book comparing their tractors to others. Stop by and ask for one or at least the page for the 7500.vs.4110. Read it over, then take it to the Kubota dealer and let him/her give you the Kubota side of the story.

Why would the 2410 be more comparable? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Both the 7510 and the 4110 are 21 HP both weight within 50 pounds of each other the only way the 2410 compares better with the Deere is the price tag, but oh by the way it is 3 more HP with some deluxe features.
This is not a bash on Deere they make a great product I just don't know why everyone is saying you should compare the 4110 with the 2410 when the 4110 and the 7510 are almost identical in specs.

Push forward goes forward, push back goes back...I would say thats pretty intuitive. When going backwards...usually I am turned around to see.....with two pedals next to eachother it could be easier to push the wrong one. When you turn your torso in the operators seat, your foot pressure is naturally shifted to the heel..hence to move backwards.

I like the New Hollands a lot, probably the best, BUT, they cost more than Kubota with no outright advantage.

I like the Deere 755 and 855, and 790....the 4100 and the later 10 series I feel were cheapened, yet the pricing is much higher than Kubota.

Well, OK, I guess I'm basing that on the more delux features, position control, continuous live or independant PTO, available backhoe things like that. They just seemed closer to me when I looked at them. Perhaps you're right.

HP is an oddball thing on the 4110. If you get a gear tractor it's only 20 (17PTO) HP, but if you get the HST it's 21(17PTO). They raise the HP a little so the PTO hp comes out the same. I think the 2410 has 24 (18PTO) HP, if I'm not mistaken. I don't know why there's a 6HP difference. Perhaps they round down on the PTO HP?
