B6100 hydraulic filter

I'm having trouble locating my hydraulic filter on my B6100E. The only place i think it might be is this large bolt on the side of the transmission. Does anyone know if this is it, or if it is located in a differant spot. My owners manual just shows me what the filter looks like when its out but not where its at.

I have a B6100D. I haven't taken mine out yet but the parts manual and the repair manual show it located behind the bolt on the transmission holding the larger hydraulic line in place. It also shows two rubber o-rings for sealing. I mention this because I seem to have bad luck with o-rings, might not hurt to get new ones.

The repair manual dosen't really explain how to remove it so I am assuming you just remove the bolt and pull it out. What kind of oil are you using in the tranny/hydraulic resevoir? A decal on the tractor says to use 80w gear oil, paragraph 90 of the IT shop manual says to use UDT. Searching here looks like I should use the 80w.

I previuosly owned a B6100E. That bolt is the filter. I used UDT in my B6100 for years just fine and that is what I would recommend for colder climates.

Ok that large bolt is what i thought was the filter just never took it out. I use 80W90. nothing fancy. It doesn't see much work nemore though so i'm just tuning it up. May drain the system and put UDT. My manual says i can use UDT or 80 weight oil. Since 80 was already in there its what i've been using. Thanks for the verification on that filter. I dont think its ever been changed on my tractor...well prob has, used to be my grandfathers. ITs older than i am! so i'm just replacing most parts on it to get it into excellent conidition
