Ok, the gentleman selling the tractor is asking $13K for the package. This seems high to me. What do you think?
The tractor has very low hours and the owner sounds like he maintained it well (I have not seen it yet). However, its about 90 minutes away (3 hour round trip plus the time I spent looking at the tractor) and I don't want to waste time going to see it if the price is high. The owner didn't sound like he would negotiate much (I'm guessing like $500). Thoughts?

marrt,In Aug.99 I sold a B-2150 with FEL and 60" MMM,tractor had 650+ hours.It was is excellent condition.Brought $13,500.I would think $13K is a little steep for what your looking at.I would'nt offer any more than $10.500. You never know,some people are reluctant to talk money over the phone.Show up with cash or check book in hand,and sellers have a tendency to come your way.

Sounds high to me also.
If that is the tractor that you want, this past fall (Oct 01?) I was passing a Kubota dealer in the Tennessee Tri-cities area (Modern Equipment Co., Johnson City, (423) 928-0261) that still had a BRAND NEW B2150 HSD / turf tires / 60" mid mower / (5 hours?) that they were asking just under $13K for that would still have the full warranty. I believe that this is might be close enough for you to take a trip to see.
I have "his-n-hers" Kubotas (she uses the B2150 HSD while I use the older B7100 gear drive). I had thought about upgrading the B7100 and a new B2150 seemed like a reasonable choice, but for a few bucks more one can get a B2710. If they still have it maybe they'll be more willing to negotiate.
