Or you can go to this web site Live Local Search type in your address, and click on "Bird's Eye" from the menu, if available, and you can get views for nothing that are just like flying at 500', see phots below, pretty cool.

And if the county does not have the photos online then give them a call and/or vist their office. The office might be called GIS.
Our county has the photos online but there are better photos in the office. They take the pictures every few years to help with tax assessments. They are prepping for the arial photos when I started to see a square of black and white fabric stacked to the ground on a given, surveyed spot. They use the contrasting b/w to locate/align the photos.
The pictures in the office have enough resolution to see cars, outbuildings, fallen trees, piles of dirt that used to be in my front yard.

I agree with Robert, check to see if your county or township has a website that might have photos. Our county has a website where you can look at just a parcel map, or an arial with parcel lines, then it has a measure feature that allows you to measure distances on the map. It is pretty cool. And like Roberts site, you can search for owners tax info.
