Was thinking of doing this as well. it seems all the grease fittings are 1/4 20 and all extensions I can find are 1/4 28. You found a grease gun hose with 1/4 20 to 1/8 npt? Or are the threaded fittings on your machine 1/8 NPT

Added some zerk fitting extensions to my groundsmasters today. Used a grease gun hose, 1/8” npt union, and zerk to make them.

I put the extension on the forward pto zerk because they are so hard to get to.

The buffalo turbine had three zerks under the safety grill, so I put some extensions there too so I wouldn’t have to pull the grill to grease. The extensions cost about $6 each to make.

Hello everyone, I hope this thread is still active as I just purchased a Toro Groundsmaster with a 72" deck. It is in need of some love and I need help identifying exactly what I have. It has been repainted. Thankfully they left the Serial Tag on it. It's pretty beat up but what is readable on it is "30788-80929". It has a diesel engine as well and it is 2wd with power steering. Is this machine a 322-D or a 325-D? I have no idea how to identify it other than serial number. Also, the deck has a gearbox that is NOT a square it has a 45 degree angle gearbox. I called all the Toro dealers around me and they all tell me they can't get anything for it and they have no idea if its a 322-D or a 325-D. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Wow! What a wealth of information on the grounds master mowers here. I just acquired a 328d with the kubota that needs a new hydraulic pump unit. Any guidance to what model number pump this is? Mower is quite some distance away and everything still needs a good cleaning for me to ID. Anyone know what they're looking at here?

Toro has a lot of manuals online that could ID this for you. Have you looked online yet for your model/serial number to get a part #? If not you can do so here: Redirecting...

I did look a bit and found this: Redirecting...

Part # for the assembly (CHECK TO VERYFY!) that I found is

92-8947
TRANSMISSION ASM

From the model and serial number it is a 1988 322D:

The angled gearbox is right for an early model deck.

The 325D has an adjustable steering column, so the columns look different.

Thank you very much! I was trying to find the difference between them and did not know that was a difference. Mine is not adjustable, so that makes sense!

Have 3 345's and one PTO had some play and wobble so replacing the bearings. The ones we took out have a groove in the side I assume for the grease, the new ones I ordered which I ordered via part number from the part diagram don't have the groove.

Anyone come across this?
