Found another use for my 3215. After loading my friends flatbed with horse manure, he managed to get it stuck in the mud on a slight grade on the way out of the pasture. He has a 4 wheel drive F250 with a 16 ft trailer with 4 foot sides. I had the trailer pretty fully loaded. Needless to say it was somewhat heavy with wet manure as we have finally been getting some rain here in the southeast. Anyway after contemplating dropping the trailer and coming back after the ground had dried up a bit I suggested trying to pull him out with the tractor. After looking at the front end and not really finding a safe place to hook up to, I suggested I just try pushing him out. So I got the tractor and positioned the FEL low across the back end of the trailer, placed in 4 wheel drive, put the trans in low and told him to pull out as I pushed. With suprisingly little trouble I was able to push him up the grade and out of the mud. Not bad for 32hp!!

This could get to be an interesteing thread.

I used the 6000 4x4 to right a small loaded dump truck, yank loose a stuck Cat D3, pull the truck and half our double wide into place, and tear down both a single wide trailer and a house damaged by fire. Not to mention the things I actually bought it to do.

After I pushed him out I realized I didn't even lock the rear differentials. It made me chuckle because this past winter my brother in law parked his "all wheel" drive Subaru in front of my parent's house. He had parked in some snow about 8" deep. When he wanted to pull out of his parking spot later he ran into a problem. It wasn't the snow, it was the layer of ice under the snow. There was a patch under his one front tire and another patch under one of his rear tires. So two tires were spinning two tires were'nt and he wasn't going nowhere. So much for all wheel drive  !! I'm not so sure how limited slip differentials are supposed to help traction? Too bad my parents didn't own a Mahindra;) .
