You've never mentioned whether your ZD1211 deck is 60" or 72" .... side or rear discharge? Unless I just missed it?

Thanks. Mine is a 72" rear discharge. If you have the Kubota P/N for your OEM Blades .. Oregon could probably cross reference to their Gator mulching blades. I'd bet that the parts guys, at your Kubota dealer, already know the Oregon # for blades you need?

You won't be disappointed with the Gators.

Might want to lubricate all the spindle grease fittings-could be a noisy bearing. All the other grease fittings, too.
Also, check the little buckles on the plastic belt covers for looseness.
Do all the free and simple things first before taking to your dealer.

I have the mulching kit on my mower. What blades should I try?

Gator blades, you won't be sorry!. have you tried removing the blades, and turning on the PTO to see if you still get the noise?..

Why arent you wearing ear plus? Even when not mowing? I learned the hardway that ear plugs and dust mask are essential when mowing.

You did mention change when stopped. I.E. under no load, free running.
That ,to me, suggests then something else like a harmonic vibration. Try different RPM's and that should confirm.
Often it would be a large surface (like mower deck, cab roof etc) the is the actual cause.
If U confirm that sort of thing then dampening the actual generator is rather easy.
Like adding a stiffener, gluing strips of carpet even adhering some self adhesive roofing membrane will do the trick.

On my DIY cab I anticipated that effect so I adhered some deadening material under my roof, no problems.

It痴 only got about 100 hours on it. I致e heard about the gator blades. How difficult is it to change blades on the 1211?

What with the jack on the front, it is about as simple as you can make it on a suspended deck type mower. Pay attention to the components coming off and don't tighten without the hex washer aligned - splined for older machines. I keep about the same differential of angle between blades as it was, but it is not timed to miss - although it could affect the "noise" as is the issue of this post.
