Because no one in Cuba could afford a US built tractor, that's why. Where can you buy a 30 HP tractor in the US for under $10k?

Something sure is fishy here. Who is the US co? Build a 5 to 10M plant and only start with 30 people.I don't know of one US made tractor under 10,000.00 even made in the US.

The linked article says the two owners (Clemmons and Berenthal) plan to start with 30 people and grow to 300 employees if all goes well.

The Tuff-bilt (based in part on the AC G) sells for less than $10K and looks remarkably similar to the Oggun that is to be built in Cuba.

These people are poor.

Maybe the US government should subsidize them? Is GM gonna build a plant in Cuba to replace all their old cars? If they are successful.....maybe we could import an American tractor built in Cuba and get one for a decent price.......my neighbor loves her Ford built in Mexico......same concept I guess. If we keep moving American production out of our country.......we will also be poor.

jmo- but good luck- Seems a better option for many in Cuba would be importing a variety of good used machines, maybe some new Cabellas tyms
