What does it cost on average to replace the clutch in a 1948 Allis Chalmers B?

Depends on who's doing the work. If you have some mechanical skills and tools to do the job, you can save some money. Taking a quick look, a clutch kit (pressure plate, clutch disk, throughout bearing, and alignment tool with many for a B run form $152.00 to over $400. Many cost around $250 +-.

If having it done by a capable mechanic, they probably charge by the hour and should be able to give you an idea what labor would be, plus parts. That's assuming whether the flywheel would need to be refaced by a machine shop. Haven't had one refaced for 25 years, so have no idea what that would cost now.

Also need to determine if is a 8.5 or 9 inch clutch before ordering parts
