Affordable CVJs and U-joints for the DYI folks

I was very sad when I destroyed the ball cage in the CVJ on my RTV900. Kubota wanted $500 for a replacement axle, and the aftermarket axles are sitting on a ship waiting to unload at the port in LA/LB.

I was DELIGHTED when I found these folks: American CV Joints

What made me really happy :dance1: was the customer service that steered me to a complete assembly (I hadn't seen) that cost less!

They support a lot of machines, so check them out and do CALL to see if they have something better than what you found.

I put the new CVJ onto the old shaft with the help of a neighbor that happens to be our mechanic. He has the special band tool that made it all a lot easier. Photos here:

Thank you for the "heads up" on this supplier. It is always good to know about aftermarket suppliers for those of us that do our own work. I have bookmarked the site, but hope it is many years before I need to use it!
