Hi, for the first time I need to connect a hydraulic implement, Post Knocker, that requires a hydraulic connection to my L245DT, as I have some fencing to do. I have no hydraulic connectors on my tractor, so how do I upgrade so I have 1 or 2 ? I am a real novice in this area. Thanks for any help & advice, is there a kit I can buy ?

Do you have a hyd pump, a hyd block, or 3pt?

Can you trace the pump output back to the 3pt?

From looking at the hyd diagrams, it looks like you will have to cut and use swage type fittings.
Ones the fittings are installed, the pump output will go to the joystick valve or remote valve IN port and from the PB port to the 3pt.
If you don't need a loader. You can get a 2 to 4 spool valve for the back and control 4 sets of hyd.
Right now, the relief is on the 3pt.
After you install a new valve, the relief will be on that valve and needs to be set to your tractor hyd specs.

Hi JJ. Sorry, I am just learning all this stuff, and not sure I understand. You are saying that I can cut into the pipe that that's the pressurised oil from the pump to the 3 pt ? How do I find that pipe, do you have a diagram or picture ? Where would the return low pressure connect to ? Maybe a diagram would help, if you have one ?

When you get the hyd layout from Messicks, or the PDF below, the pressure line is in the first figure. item #30.
It appears to be connected to the bottom of the hyd pump, and going back and on top of the transmission case. .
As far as your return port, there is probably one on the side of the tractor.
Best to ask one of the Kubota techs in the shop and they will show you where it is.
Someone else that own a L245 might chime in and and offer some help.

I have a L285, if your 245 is similar, there is a block between your legs, below the seat. You will see yiur steel hydralic line (pressure side) entering the block from the right side of the tractor. There is or was a tapped block available to replace the OEM. No idea of a source for the new block, sorry.
L245 may differ from L285.

Ok, go to messicks.com, enter L series, L245f, and Hydralic system all in pull down menu on left side. Enter yiur email, and they will send a very detailed PDF of the system for FREE and it takes about 30 seconds. Looks like part #35210-38215 and/or #35210-38210. Look at the rear part of this assembly, that's where an aftermarket diverter of some sort would be added. If you find a source for the diverter pleaae post it, I'm curious.

That PDF is posted above and it does not show the hyd block if it is there.
No mention in the parts either.
If it is there, that is where you would start to connect a remote valve.
Otherwise, cut and use the compression fittings and connect hose to and from your valve.
If you have a hyd block, it may look something like these.
