I have an Allis Chalmers 180 deisel that is leaking between the head and injector, below the rubber seal. Do they make a seal kit for the inector or do I need to replace the entire thing? I know I'll find out when I call the AGCO dealer tomorrow just wanting to know if anybody has done this repair before, doesn't look too difficult and I have replaced injectors before, but never dealt with trying to find a seal kit.
Among other things I have fuel issues with it, started running a biodeisel blend in it and it hasn't ran much this year so it has gunked up the tank something bad. Last week I though it was out of fuel as after I cleaned out the sediment bowl it woudl fill back up. Lookes in the tank and had about 15 gallon in it, the sediment bowl body was caked full of gunk and would allow fuel to pass, cleaned it out, replaced the fuel filter (whole reason of starting this project) and after running a few hours the bowl had about 1/2" of sludge in it and the screen in the top of the bowl was about 90% blocked. It will run about 20 minutes and it dies, it actually sucks the fuel out of the lines and filter and the screen won't allow enough fuel to pass through to keep it running. Makes it kinda hard to cut hay!
Oh the joys!
