I have a 75 Ford 4000 with an aftermarket FEL. There has been an adapter plate added between the controls of the rear remote and the transmission.

Here are my questions: the response on the FEL is very slow, it has plenty of power it just takes forever for it to get there. There is a what looks like an adjustment knob of the front of the hydraulic adapter but without knowing what it does I have not messed with it. I also understand there might be some restrictors in the lines to keep accidents from happening. Is there a way to upgrade the pump so I get better response, or is this fine.

Finally on the rear remote I get power up gravity down but how does the fluid get back witn only one line?

Hooking up to the tractor hyd's via an adaptor plate = slow, sorry. To increase speed/flow, the loader should have a front mounted pump, run by a driveshaft from the engine crank. That also means a reservoir and considerable plumbing. $$$$

So where do you find such a pump?
