Put my forks on my 5035 and moved my 500 gallon propane tank with 300 gallons of propane in it yesterday. Set my forks out the widest they would go and used two USA made double thick 1" straps. The 5035 is a monster..... Today, formed in the new pad...

You obviously had no problem moving the tank with propane in it. My propane company says it has to be pumped out before moving. Not sure what they'd say if I moved it if it wasn't empty.

Most companies up here move the tanks with straps if they are only picking it up to relevel it, or moving short distances within your yard. The tanks have to be pumped if they are transported on public roads. And it is a much safer operation if it is moved empty. Any presurized tank, like acetalyn or oxygen, must be moved with great care. If there is any doubt, call in the pro's....

Nice tractor and all, but are you sure that is a 500 gal propane tank, it almost looks like a 250 gal tank, even if it was a 500 gal tank, you was picking up 2413lbs, a 500 gal propane tank weighs about 1180lbs, and 300gal of propane weighs about 1233lbs, thats 300 X 4.11lb per gal. Your tractor and loader is good for 2700lbs. If you have the ML130 loader.

Yup, it is a 500 gallon. The cement pad is 126" by 46". The tank is a little over 60% [the 500 gallon is filled to about 80% in the summer and 85% in the winter, for a max of about 425 gallons]. Works out to a little over 300 gallons. My QA forks weigh about 385 pounds, but I do not know how much the 75" bucket I took off weighed. She lifted it, the big 14 X 17.5 front tired squated and tore up some sod whilst turning....but she lifted it..... :)

Ok, if the pad is 126", then it is a 500 gal. tank, a 500 gal tank is 120" long. Guess some pics can change the size of things. Just remember when taking pics of fish when holding them, hold them out in front of you, that way the fish looks bigger:laughing:
Oh by the way, nice job on the pad.

That's us retired guy's with WAY too much free time, and a love of being outdoors. Work our arse off for several days and spend $80 on cement so we can save 10 seconds each time we mow the rest of our lives....how ever long that may be.... [ Get to use our toys, though.... :) ]
