John Deere 4720
It appears that I am the only idiot online right now . . . I really need to get to bed. Who was it that called this forum "tractor ****"? I'm definitely addicted.

Anyway, to my real question. Am I also the only idiot who has paid as much for their 4720 as I am about to?

Has anyone here paid more than $29,000 for a 4720 with R4 tires, FEL and a single rear SCV? I can't get my dealer to come below $30,000.

Grant,
When I input that into the configurator and stay as basic as I can, it still comes to $33283.
Did you try the configurator? I know it is MSRP, but seems like dealer is working with you.

Don't feel like an idiot.

What about trying to get him to throw in things like free 50 and 100 hour service, free transport for service, canopy, different tires, manuals, etc.?

Thanks for those suggestions.

Hobbyfarm, I agree that he's working with me some. I've gotten the idea, however, that I ought to be able to get this tractor for closer to $28,000. Maybe there are just a few dealers out there offering that price. My dealer is offering about 10% off the MSRP.

Froggy, the dealer is willing to do the first service free, so that's something. Maybe I'll see if I can get him throw in hats for the famiy. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I suppose that saying that anybody who pays $30K for a 4720 is an idiot is not the best way to solicit responses. Let me rephrase that and ask just whether I would be an idiot for paying that much, or if there are intelligent folks out there who have paid the same price. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Is the price you are being quoted for cab or non cab model? I was quoted last month on a 4720 cab and air a price of 29600 for just the tractor only. I believe I would do some serious shopping. Also Kubota will have new models out in Feburary that will be larger tractors, more horsepower and LOWER INTEREST Rates for sure for the same money as the 4720. Right now Kubota is offering 4.99% on most tractors for 84 MONTHS!!!! John Deere better wake up and smell the coffee cause right now in the compact tractor segment Kubota is kicking their butt!!!! I know I own one - GREAT tractor and no knick knack problems like I had with my previous tractor, a Deere 4510.

It's for the non-cab model.
