2018 GC1710 Price Check vs. Buying New

What ever it is pay it. The older masseys; 1705,1710,1715,1720...were made pretty bombproof in Japan. I don't know what happened when they switched manufacturing to India, but something failed to equate.
Where can I find anything official about where they are made?

Looking for opinions on this tractor on CL. Seems price is fair? Doesn't look like a QA bucket. What are you seeing for prices for the 2022 models?

Cute little bugger, too small for me but is in nice condition and it would be pretty hard to have any issues at those low hours. I kind of wonder if the depressed economy caught up to the owner and he (or she) has to unload it.

I'm going to guess divorce; of course that's the only reason I could see to get rid of a tractor, outside of needing cash for a better tractor. 🤣

The newer models are no longer made by Iseki in Japan? I have a GC1720 and I’ve noticed that my neighbor’s GC1723 has more plastic but it looks basically the same as mine. Are you sure about India?

I'm trying to confirm by finding an ID plate on TractorHouse, but hell if I can find one at a readable angle.

I can tell you that the 18 series is made in Japan or Indonesia depending on whether it's an M or E; unrelated, don't tell the Yanmar guys, but the SA series is built in Thailand.

Dam, I hate it when that happens. I think it was $19k. Recent quote for GC1723EB was $23K with no extras.

Reason I ask, in spring 2018 I bought a 2018 GC1710 private party with 60 hrs on it. Don't remember the dude's story, I think he was divorcing or what, but the tractor was near new other than some dings on the hood.

Came with the 60" drive-over MMM, clamp-on forks (which I hate, hardly ever use em), 3pt draw bar, and a diy backhoe dolly (which doesn't work all that awesome, so I don't use it). $17,500 with him hauling it back home to me. I wasn't even on the hunt for all that, we were just needing a loader, but this was just too good of a deal to pass up.
