I thought that all 2016 x750s had drive over decks (that's what I've seen and that's what two local dealers told me). But I've seen a few 2016 x750s that don't have the drive over decks and the sellers told me that this was the deck that came with the mower. Those decks were 62".

I built an x750 on the Deere website and it didn't have an option for more than one type of 60 in deck.

Are drive-over decks an option?

Doesn't appear to have that deck available. Maybe the discussion has been about two different things.
Will be interesting to find out what you hear from the two sellers about what comes with the X750.

I could not find the Auto Connect in Build You Own section. It is a chargable option and from a different area here is the Part # Optional AutoConnect™ drive (BM23894). When purchased for my X739 it was in $250 range. IMO well worth the $$$ even if not used that often. Did not see a 62" deck listed, just these three.

48" Accel Deep™ deck
54" High-Capacity deck
60" High-Capacity deck

Is it possible the dealer had a 62" deck on hand, so he installed it on an x750? Maybe the dealer had both 54" and 63" decks so customers had a choice for earlier x7XX tractors. Now he has left over 62" decks to move, since the change to 60" decks came out.

as with all of the x700 tractors, the x750 doesn't come with a deck from the factory.
there are parts needed to fit up the older generation decks (old style lift arms) as shown in the 48"
deck pricebook, but that also applies to the older 54c and 62c decks. They can be mounted,
with no autoconnect, with the older style lift arms on the tractor.
it sounds like a dealer had some older decks to use up as Zebra mentioned.

Here are some pics of the deck attached to the 2016 x750. The deck is called an "Edge Extra Cutting System 62 inch." Are these a poor choice for a deck? I hear good things about an 7 gauge deck but I don't think this is it.

that is the same deck that fit the X475/x595 up thru the X728/48 series tractors,
as well as the 2305 scut... seemed ok for most, but there are always some unhappy
people with mower decks no matter which deck.
that deck in the picture is either used, or has been used on demo (quite a bit, and missing
a guard)
i own one, use it occasionally alongside my zero turn mower, both cut the grass and spit
it out the side so i can't say one is better than the other!
and no, it's not as heavy as the 7iron.

You have a 62C Deck it came on my 720 Tractor and cut very nice . To remove the Deck the Gauge wheels turn and lock to the side and it rolls out from under the Tractor . It is not as easy as the drive over Deck but works well .
I also had a 2014 X 750 with the 60 HC Deck and it was a Drive Over Deck it was nice . I just bought a new X 758 and got the drive over Deck but not Auto Connect . The 2013 and 2014 Auto Connect Tractors did not always work well because the lift arms did not come down as far and would not always catch the Deck . The 2016 is better but I am happy without it .

So is that "Edge Extra Cutting System" deck a HC or C? Does the HC stand for high capacity?

Can a the ramps for a drive over deck be added to this deck? It looks like there are bolt holes for something in that area.

I think the 62C is a high capacity Deck I know it is a Very good Deck and I would be happy with one in place of the 60HC . As for the Drive Over not sure the X 750 is a heavy Tractor I would talk to your dealer first . If it was me I would not even think about it as the 62C it as good and almost as fast to remove . I have a good size shop and a lot of room to remove the Deck but I will also never have the Auto Connect again .

beenthere;4555251 cinder Do you have the drive-over deck ? [/QUOTE said:
Yes, I have the Drive Over / Auto Connect 60" HC deck on the X739. I don't take the deck off all that often, but it's a breeze when needed.

The 72" 7-Iron Deck I have for the 3320 in NOT drive over, NOT auto connect. The older I get the more of a PITA it is to install / remove. Matter of fact, this summer, despite air condion / cab on the 3320, I never mounted the deck at all and just used the X739 to mow.

Does anyone know if the 62" Edge Extra deck costs more the 60" drive over deck?

What I'm trying to do is figure the new cost of an X750 with the 62" Edge Extra deck.

no, the 60" 7iron deck was about $500 more than the 62c deck..
1700 vs 2200 list prices...

Are the green colored decks, the 7iron decks? I don't see the 7iron decks available for the x750 on the John Deere site.

The green decks are the 7 iron. The 62C is less costly as Dutch points out.

I wonder why the Deere website doesn't show the 7iron decks as an option for the x750.

What are the improvements that I would see using the 7iron vs the 62C?

The 60HC deck (in yellow) replaced the 7 Iron deck (in green) on x7XX series tractors. Its the same as the 7 Iron; ONLY made from 9ga steel instead of 7ga. My guess is sales did not support offering it (7 Iron deck). The 60HC is taller than the 62C, in theory it should stand high grass up better than a 62C. I have only used a 62C and I am satisfied with it.

The ONLY reason I would want a 7 Iron deck is the green paint. I am a push over for green.

The 62C is not high capacity compared to 60HC or 7 Iron decks, BUT I agree a great deck. I have one.
