So had a problem with my rototiller last year. The gas was running out of the carb.

This year tore it apart rebuilt the carb. Was leaking out of the top and down the air filer. Figured the needle valve was the problem. Fired it up ran great no problems then it shut off.

Messed arou d with the carb again. Decided for 15 bucks i would put a new one on Nd call it good.

Same problem. Gas fill up in the bowl and comes out the front by the choke and pours onto the ground. If i drain the bowl it will start and run for 10 feet then boggs down amd shuts off. Will start again but wont stay running.

I took the catb off to see if the float needed to be adjusted it didnt as it was 1 piece plastic.

I would take it to the repair shop but they are three weeks out amd i need it for weeding the ridiculous garden i put in this year. 125x160

Any help would be amazing

if the float/needle seat won't shut off the fuel then check them AND look for dirt in the system.

A sunk float, binding maybe. Bad needle or seat.

Dirt would be my guess.

Just buy an OEM carb and throw the 15$ carb away.

float adjustment would my next thing to look at, make sure all the needle/seat parts are there (often a small spring or it hooks on a spring - could have come loose in transport)

In the first two photos the main jet is missing - did you remove it or was it missing from the factory?

doesn't look like it's missing - maybe a rubber plug, some have that - but there are no threads in there that I can see for a jet to screw into.

And if it was missing it would have nothing to do with it flooding gas out the intake.

the float pushed up on teh needle against the seat stopping fuel flow.

If fuel keeps flowing...

Float sunk, out of adjustment, need bad, seat bad, or they are dirty - it only takes a microscopic amount of dirt to be an issue.

My toro zero turn has plastic floating in the fuel tank .. left over from when they made the mower. crap happens

Ill hit it all with some compressed air. See if anything changes.
