So I have had an issue with my 3 point, I can lift and drop as normal, but when I go fine tune my height with the draft control lever.....crickets. It has always worked fine in the past. I checked the basics. Oil level was low, so I added, with no improvement. The direction I’m going is a problem with the draft control mainspring. If I set the draft handle to a point where it is trying to lift, and walk to the rear and hit in with a hammer where the top link attaches under the seat, the hydraulics will jump and “try.”
Am I on the right track? I’m assuming I damaged something dragging the rotary cutter over everything I shouldn’t. Do I start with attempting to adjust the mainspring? Repairing/shimming? Or removing the cover and checking all of the linkage between the lever and the mainspring? OR, should I be looking at the load monitor?
Just looking at where my best bang for the buck will be when attempting to make repairs. Thanks guys.
