MF1547* power shift was on a paved highway returning from a job, top
gear - 2000rpm, when it came to a violent halt dragging both rear
tires and stalling the engine. Nearly threw operator from the machine;
bumps and bruises from hitting dash and steering wheel.
Result is that after re-starting we determined that the transmission is in
1st gear and will move the tractor, the shift lever is not connected to the
1st gear and cannot/will not disengage it. The machine will drive in first
gear. The shift lever will move and engage gears 2 - 3 - and 4 but shifting
them into gear results in an "in two gears" condition and the and nothing
will turn.
Anyone seem this before? Anyone ever fixed one?
