What did you do with or to your Terramite today?

Yesterday I buried a big horse for a neighbor with my T6!

    T-6 Glow Plug Timer number/source

So, my machine last week after a couple of hard work began activating the glow plugs. The result is a rattling noise, I suspect pre-ignition. As a stop gap I plan to put a toggle switch in the power wire to the glow plugs. Only have a manual for T-9. It gives P/N 70038 which is I'm guessing a...

    Tooth Bar Home Run

I've been looking for a tooth bar since getting the T6 a few months back. Everything I found was a long drive and somewhat expensive. Picked this up today 5 miles from my home for $80!!! Looks like I'll be cutting 3 inches from both ends and welding it back together. Unless someone here has a...

    Next Project, Tie Rod Repair

I will attempt to remove the broken part, it shows no signs the previous guy with a welder even tried to get it out! Any tips on how to properly line up the wheels? The tire on the poorly repaired side is wearing a lot faster than the left side. And you can see in the photo where it's rubbing...

    FEL Receiver Hitch

A hitch on the front is a handy thing. That's a 1" threaded rod and coupler nut.

    Hooks and Forks

Finally got around to adapting the fork set originally built for my old T5 to work on the T6.

    T6 FEL Question

Will your front bucket preform two movements at the same time? I was just moving the gravel back up from the heavy rain we had last night, with new to me T6. Found out when in float the bucket will move to dump but not roll back. More experimenting shows it doesn't seem to want to curl going up...

    T6 Info wanted ?

Hello All, I traded my T5C or maybe B on a T6-D today. I think about 12 years newer upgrade. I would really appreciate any information anyone would be willing to share. So very little on this machine online! I have no idea what it might weigh, lift capacity on either end and other things. Thanks

    Tire opinion wanted, Terramite rears

Just busted a rear, probably on a sharp rock. Local farm tire dealer says boot and tube probably won't last long. His price on new tires is around $190 not counting the fluid, I wouldn't be without. My question is: Anyone have experience with these tires $99.83 - Crop Max R1 - tires | Buy...

Starter fails to engage when cold

The starter on my T5B, Kohler 20 Magnum turns fine but will not engage the flywheel on cooler days (like below 50F). I can only get it going by placing a heater under/ beside the engine for about an hour. Thoughts? I've already replaced the battery thinking it was weak. I'm guessing cold...

    Broken Spindle

I just broke the left front spindle on my T5B manual steering. Anyone know if this is a Terramite only part? Sources? Thanks .. Matt

What have you done to improve your Terramite?

One of the nicest things I've added lately is a Push-Button Locking Vernier Universal Control Cable (big black knob with a red button). The machine came to me with one of those small locking metal T handled cables. It was uncomfortable and hard to set to the perfect rpm for what was being done...

    NAPA Numbers

While fixing a flat on the front of my T5B I noticed a rough wheel bearing. My local NAPA store was able to match the bearing and seal. The Napa number of the bearing is BR14 and the seal is 12437. If you have any part numbers please post them here and we could eventually build a resource list...

    $2.86 Steering Box Repair

This story will only be relevant if you have an older machine with manual steering. I have known for a while my steering box has been going bad due to rise and fall of the steering wheel and increasing slop when turning. Wasn't a problem in the field but a real issue going up the road. Took...

    Drive Coupling

Anyone have experience with the plastic drive coupling (UC-DC-42S, made by company UCC) that ties the engine to the pump? I stripped mine Friday too late to call Terramite. Internet search looks like it's an off the shelf part in England but I found no avaliability in the USA. Also wondering if...

    Tool Box ?

Have anyone figured out a good place to mount a tool box on their Terramite? I'm finding it would be nice to have a few things onboard. Top of the fenders seems like a good place but that would be in the way moving positions on the T5B as I need to stand on them momentarialy before placing feet...

    Backhoe  T5B Video

I've had this old T5b for only a few weeks and have had limited time to practice but I'm thoroughly impressed with this machine. If you are thinking about getting a Terramite my advise would be to hurry and do it. I wish I had owned one 25 years ago. I really like owning a piece of equipment...
