I have a 2017 3039R with 0 issues at 480 hours. Dealership has done routine maintenance while it’s under warranty. Pricey? Thinking of 4020 for work and tractor shows

My brother-in-law has 2 of them. I think one is a ‘68 or ‘69, the other is a ‘71 or ‘72. One has powershift and one doesn’t. He also has a 4320 which is like a 4020 on steroid’s. They’re a beast of a tractor, probably one of the nicest looking Deeres ever built. If you have the space and the...

    Ballast Box

You’ll need to do a bit of math, but assume 40% of your weight on the front and 60% on the back. Generally, loaded tires/wheel weights and a ballast box or heavy implement are enough.

John Deere painted their engines on the 5003 series black for quite a while. I’d be happy if Mahindra just clearly labeled the dipsticks and fill points because the manual is not very helpful 😩

John Deere Model B vs Farmall Super C?

The problem with a B, like my A, is that they improved the design so much over its lifetime that many parts aren’t the same. John Deere Model B vs Farmall Super C?

I prefer the Super C, particularly with the fast hitch. I do like the B, but my favorites are the 1948-52 with the cushion seat and powr-trol. The last models (1952?) had the improved carburetor (s) and were basically a 50.
