Chains aren't optional here most winters. Use chains on your equipment or stay home. On the Kubota I use the net style on the front, Duo's on rear. No pavement.

I'm not sure why a modern 4WD tractor couldn't handle front chains. Running chains on all 4 is typical on the full range of Mercedes Unimogs, even with locking FRONT and rear differentials. Is a new Kuobota (or Deere, Kioti, NH, etc.) "less tough" than a 1962 Unimog? Last year I ran chains...

Does 8 foot plow sound about right for a Kubota MX5100, mounted on FEL? I have a 7ft rear blade, and the machine does fine with that if chained up.

Anyone know much about the Landpride TB2596 snow plow? Looks good on paper but I've never actually seen one.

Anyone have experience with the Landpride TB series FEL snow plows? They look good on paper. I like the way the skidshoes are mounted back a bit, and they have the rotational float, but haven't heard much about them.
