I posted a while back about my 573 doing it's first regen at just under 50 hrs and my suspicion that it may be timer related.
Today I hit 99.3 hrs and sure enough my Regen light came on and about 3 mins later it went into Regen mode. It took a little over 20 mins to complete it's Regen which is...
I will have to pay more attention on mine. I do have the beeping sound, but that seems to be a warning that I am coming in too slow and about to stall.
I don't move hay, just dirt and stone.
Except Makita blows Milwaukee out of the water with a lineup of Pro Duty cordless that is up to 325 tools. You can even get Demo saws that perform as good as electric.
Makita rules over "The World Of Concrete Show" that is in Vegas every year.
My 573 has only regen once. That was in the 50 hr range. I have to admit I let it do more idling in those first 50 hrs.
After that regen I make a point not to let it idle while I am doing other stuff.
I am approaching 100hrs and am wondering if this is going to regen when I hit that. Then I...
Just like all crash tests. Hard to have a video camera and record real life crashes to see it as it happens.
Look at the insurance institutes crashes. They are all "staged". Manufacturers themselves "stage" crashes on their own vehicles.
"green" has nothing to do with me using battery.
Battery = QUIET. My ears ring 24/7, no need to make them worse. No smelling exhaust fumes, and basically zero maintenance.
If I am limbing, or cutting small saplings and need to move around a lot, I don't have to keep yanking that dang rope...
This is what I was originally looking for when I was shopping in 2022. Prices were through the roof and no bargaining at all.
So I went shopping for another brand and bought the LS. If this had been available for this price in 2022 i would have bought it. I paid $50,000 for the LS.
Somebody should grab this. Not much more than I paid for my LS MT573

Don't know how they say that machine has a B&S engine in it? It's a Yanmar.
There is a good video comparison on YouTube with this machine and a couple others. If I remember, one negative was the thumb did not fully lay flat when out of use.
I self imported a Jiahe JH35 3.5 ton machine and have...
I don't know, I have used my Makita tools in 20's- 30's never a problem and that's making a living with them, not just occasional as needed basis.
My Stihl has a plastic cover by the air filter that you flip around for cold vs warm weather use.
My LS is the only machine that has any DPF. If the Warning light comes on showing the regen starting, I either just keep working, or I take it for a ride up and down the driveway until it finishes. I would never let the regen happen with it just sitting with a high idle. I would worry about too...
1800rpm for idle?!
My '22 LS MT573 idles at 1000.
My '07 JD 3203 idles at 750.
My '05 Jinma 354 idles at 750.
My '23 Jiahe/Kubota excavator idles at 1000.
All boils down to coordination and wiring your brain to the actions of your hands.
After a few hours, you start to get the hang of it. After a few days it will start to become second nature.
Turn the machine back in and rent again in a couple years and you will have re wire your brain/hands...
I remember back in the early '70's when US auto maker cried they couldn't meet emission standards and they would be out of business.
Low and behold Mr. Honda bought a Chevy Impala with a 350 and shipped it to Japan where his engineers redesigned the heads and easily met the emission...
I have an LS MT573 with the shuttle lever on the column and I will have to double check the manual again, but I swear I read in it and there is a rocker switch on my console with a sort of clock emblem on it, but I can adjust the timing for when the trans engages when using the shuttle shift lever.
Just saw this pop up in my TBN email notice and didn't read 26 pages.
I will add this if it hasn't been said already, I follow the Chinese excavator factories and they are already advertising Tier V compliance.
I thought Europe was Tier V?
I have two Makita 36v and love them. One 12" and one 14".
They are my go to saws along with Makita 36v pole saw.
The Stihl only comes out for the really big stuff.
I converted just about all my tools to Makita battery about 5 years ago and have about 15-20 batteries at this point. The oldest are...
Darn, I thought it was skill.;)
Even more hope since I am trying to talk my 16yo grandson into start looking into how to get into the Operating Engineers Union.
PTO is another issue. I went to hook up the Bush Hog this summer and PTO was dead. No other problems. I just figured the switch was bad and would change it some time in the future and hooked the bush Hog up to my LS.
Fast forward and I did a service on my JD-all the filters, clean the water...
I just formally formed this year for my timber farm. Did it as LLC which is what I had my contracting business as before I closed it down.
I have always had an accountant do my taxes since 1983, and I am glad I do.
Same day got my excavator stuck in an area I had filled, but didn't get it graded before the rain came.
Piece of cake to get out. Just used the boom, lifted the tracks and threw a couple inches of drier under them and drove out
My property is all red clay. When it rains the top just becomes slick as being on ice. This area has a slight side ways angle to it and when I was driving up the truck just slid right along the angle right to the side.
Anytime I tried to look up parts from LS I got a page with my model on it, but then just blank. No actual parts or numbers ever listed.
What kind of warranty are they going to give you on that short block?
Darn. I was hoping for something else. I have the seat safety switch bypassed on my JD. I was driving it and stopped to do something else for a minute, tried to put it back in low range and high range and either or, it dies. In Neutral it runs fine. I can throttle it all the way up and let it...
Cold again this morning so I went out to start it and see what would happen.
Started and sure enough, flashing Neutral again.
This time I did not put it in gear and just let it sit and idle. After a couple of minutes and the engine started warming up, the Neutral light went out.
So either there...
Interesting thing happened on mine today. Started it up in really cold weather, about 20deg, and the "N" Neutral light on my dash kept flashing. I put the shuttle in "F" forward, and the Neutral light kept flashing. I put it in "R" reverse, and the Neutral light kept flashing. I pulled out the...
I thought Sany's came with a 5 year/5000 hr warranty? You have to pay for that?
There was a good YouTube that compared the CFG and AGT str35 (?). They had some odd quirks to them.
I don't remember which one it was, but the thumb was not fully retractable. I have been land clearing and pulling a...
I knew it was going to happen at some point and today was the day. We had a heck of a rain last night and the area I was working in yesterday got a little mushy where I filled. Easy peasy to get out. Lifted one end with the boom and threw some dirt under the tracks, then rotated and lifted the...
Heck of a rain last night. Turned the ground on my lot to mush. Luckily I keep a couple straps there. Truck was at the bottom of a hill and i ended up pulling all the way to the gate, about 600 ft.
We had that done this second time and it came back completely normal. I asked if it was Pica and the vet said she didn't think so. She said labs seem to be more susceptible to picking up stuff in their mouths.
Both the vet and one of the vet assistance both have Labs and both had problems with...
Both my dogs are Labs.
Todays dog update. My wife called me while I was back out on the machine to tell me the dog completely dug it's way through the brand new astro turf and dug a hole in the pen.🤬
Her cone only came off yesterday. She was fine out there yesterday. The astroturfed pen was to...
I was on dog watch right after I changed the oil. One of my dogs decided it wanted to have another taste of what a rock tastes like. Did this back in Oct too.
Puking and not eating and right back to the Vet Hospital only to be cut open for the second time in 2 months.
This time it was not as bad...
Hit 47hrs a couple weeks ago and decided it was close enough for it's first oil change and also the temps were going to plummet. Nicer to change oil when it is 60deg than 35 deg.
Very easy to get to the filter and drain plug. Open the rear access panel and the filter is right in front of me...
Does your tractor have the regen cancel button?
I have a switch that if the regen starts, I can hit the switch and it will cancel it and then start regen later on again.
Brouse through the different excavator companies selling that size machine on Alibaba or MadeInChina and you will eventually see it, just with different decals on it.
I just got kicked out of the Chinese Excavator FaceBook pages for calling out a guy who tried to tell me that Kymron was not...
I had one of those. It never, I mean never, worked right. I ended up dropping it off at an auction consignment sale and I think somebody paid $250 for it.
I own a MT573 and I noticed on my loader there is flex. If I am digging into a pile the arms seem to push back depending on which side is taking more force. Just seems weak to me.
I have not used my loader a whole lot. I have a tree shear hooked up to it now and for the foreseeable future. But...
Yes. This doesn't have a heater set up like a conventional one in a car. The A/C is set up that way, but the heater is just a diverter valve under the radiator that opens to let coolant circulate to the heater core. I have never opened it. I have worked in 30 deg temps and after the machine has...
Do these have a battery? On mine I have the battery kill switch and if the switch is left on, the meter will keep running whether the motor is running or not.
When mine was in the warehouse and they were moving it around out of the container they left the battery disconnect switch on at one...
Thought I would add this from yesterday afternoon's stump pulling. 4X4X5 tall gum stump. Took about an hour to break this out. I had to dig a ramp to pull it up out of the hole.
The breakout force of the bucket is really impressive.
Just put these photos up here. Been using this to clear for a building lot. Mostly 2-3" crap growing among 4-8" pines.
Machine is on stump pulling detail. Got just under 40 hrs. The woods you see in the background is what this area used to look like before I cleared with the machine. I've...
In this instance they have a set up in place here in the US and there were other threads where this person mentions also shipping directly from their warehouse here in the states. Chinese personnel in an office here in the states setting up consignment deals with all the different auction...
On another note, it seems buying directly from China has less risk than China consigning to auctions here in the US.
On the Chinese Excavator FaceBook page I am on, one of the sellers, I think it might be AGT, sent 10 containers of minis and equipment to L and L Auctions in TN. Now L and L...
If you are wanting small, look into the smallest you can get with an EPA compliant diesel.
Otherwise, there is a lot of different small gas models. It seems the newest models have the improvements on them. The sellers in China seem to be taking notice on what buyers want. That's what I would...
I have the Gold Mountain shipping container cover to attach to two 20' containers for dry storage between them.
Never opened. Bought it at auction for $1000. Sell for what I paid. I decided to go with the 40' containers and I bought a 40' cover instead.
What happened to my post from yesterday?
IronPlanet had up for auction the frontend loaders for these last week I believe, the one I looked at had a bid of $1,700.
I haven't taken a look to see how the hyd quick attach works. I did not get the tilting bucket. They did not have any available and weren't sure when they would get them.
It's a Kubota D1703.
I think it was a choice price the same steel or rubber. I wanted steel since I will never be out of...
I have to contact them about that. It looks like I just got A/C and no heat?? Which is a whole lot better than if it happened the other way around.
I'm in NC and even in the winter, if I am sitting in that little green house of a cab, I think i will be OK.
But, A/C is mandatory.
Some internals. They also gave me a box of extra oil, hyd, and air filters and 6 extra Pins.
And of course the handy dandy tool box that got smashed somehow. Just like when I got my Jinma tractor 15 years ago.
Got the thumb, the hyd quick attach, regular tooth bucket, wide tooth bucket, wide smooth bucket, and rake.
All in to get to my house, $33,300.00. $24,200 went to China, the other $9,100 went to US.
Some more. I had to dig a ditch to get the boom down low enough to install the cab. My forks were maxed out and with max tilt I just cleared the controls to get the cab over the boom.
Picked it up today, but thought I wasn't going to be able to.
The warehouse company brought the container to the warehouse and dropped it off Fri. afternoon. I called and confirmed it was there, but the lady I talked to said they had to wait for a guy to come open the container because they...
I ordered a set of pallet forks from them, and they have been OK.
I also ordered a 8' hydraulic rear blade from them and that was crap. The main pivot shaft snapped after 5hrs of use. Cost $500 for a replacement part because it is part of an "assembly". I ordered new bearing sets for it at the...
Forgot to. No problems with Customs or EPA. Ship did not go to Norfolk, it went to Wilmington, DE. Then they trucked the container down to VA.
Container is in Chesapeake, VA. I have to call Mon. to set up for the pick up.
Web site is DirtPro.us
He is in TX.
FaceBook Group you can find him in is "Chinese Excavator Owners". I haven't seen one complaint about him. Everybody in the group who does business with him has been happy.
There's dealers selling attachments.
Google, Dirt Pro
I just Googled myself and came up empty. He is on a FaceBook group of Chinese excavator owners/sellers and is legit.
I will try to get better contact info.
Called another dealer, Legacy, in CO to see if they had the SSQA hardware since my dealer said it was on backorder from LS.
They didn't and said it shows nothing in the US which means wait for Korea shipment, which could be a couple months.
So went to take a really close look at what I had and...
I'm going to drop this right here with all this talk about emissions.
My wife's uncle worked for the guy who took out a patent for the catalytic converter. The idea came to him because he was running the crematory in Philly where they disposed of indigents, and also the hospitals got rid of...
Does the dealer have this grant info?
I would seriously like to see more of the details.
I have a 2005 Jinma 35hp that I paid $6000 for new. I would love to get a grant for a new cab tractor. I bought a new LS MT573 last year and the A/C has me spoiled. I still need a small tractor to do light...
I'd like to see what NC offers. I have an old tractor I would like to upgrade. I would be more than happy to unload if I could get a grant to buy a new one.
I did the opposite. I changed my tractor fitting to flat face to match my tree shear hose fittings.
At first I went to Amazon and thought, wow these are pretty cheap.
Then I started reading the reviews and that pretty much confirmed why they were so cheap.
I ended up buying from a hydraulic...
Hey, with the right gearing I could pull that truck with my riding mower.
But just like that truck when it was on the road, you sure as heck did not want to be behind it going down the road.
We had those trucks when I worked on an AF Base back in the mid-'70's. I don't know why the military had...
2020 Ram HO Cummins and my DPF just failed a couple weeks ago. I run the truck hard. Rarely ever drive under 60mph. Frequently towing some kind of trailer.
Did it suck that it went bad...yeah. At 48,100 miles it was covered under warranty.
According to the tracking website, next stop is Panama on Sept. 27.
You are probably right. I imagine these routes are just like driving down a highway to us.
The auction is CA so I was thinking this was all the snow melt floods combined with rainstorms they had. My guess would be no salt. That is just a guess. I was hoping to see if some CA members were going to chime in on this.
Hmmm, or maybe they know something and could be in the bids. Maybe...
That's what I was thinking. If there is a water line that is low enough, that may be a deal. Could be the dealer/distributor got wet and just because there was water in the building the insurance company totaled everything in it.
I'm guessing Iron Planet got them all from the insurance company???
I thought the guy who owned it was a mechanic at the dealer?
If true, 1) he admitted right off the bat that maybe it had "2000hrs".
2) the owner of the dealership can't be too happy that his employee is going to cost him something.
I wouldn't either, at least not without being at the auction in person to go over with a fine tooth comb.
I wonder if anybody here who knows where the Kubota warehouse is or maybe the Kubota dealership that got flooded and would know just how high the water actually got since they live in the area.
Was this a cab or open station model? The link on Tractorhouse shows tractors with cab selling for substantially more than $30,000 and they had substantially more hours than 1500. Which would mean you got a deal.
I feel bad for you. A lot of posts here are like pouring salt on a wound. I think...
Iron Planet auction has about 20 brand new Kubotas being auctioned off. All listed as "sustained flood damage March 10". They are all still in their crates. No ideas of high the water got on them or what.
Would you take a chance?
I try to do that as a last resort. I had a vehicle once where I had to do that and it still didn't come off. The screwdriver just ripped right through the metal all the way around.
I was taking a look at the filters after reading how there were two #'s for one of the filters. I figured look under there and just copy the numbers off what I have...Nope. Like you said they are all painted black. The hydraulic filter looks like it is about a gallon size. I'm going to have to...
That's what i figured. No different than supplier drop shipping something.
I don't really care about the cost of the part, I just want the part.
As for my dealer, they are actually a mechanic shop. So, their true skill is fixing vehicles. They don't really inventory anything and there is no...
On mine actually I think the hole for the pin that's in the bucket is slightly out. From day one that side was extra stiff when releasing. I figured it would loosen up with use like the other side did. Except it didn't.
Once I get the pin out of the bucket, I'm going to grind that edge back on...
Following this. Another 573 owner here. Not sure what alarms you have. Mine will beep if I am digging into dirt and go in with too high a gear and then stall out. Same high pitch if I have the emergency brake on and put it in gear, or if I forget to put the emergency brake on and get up out of...
Mine whines when turning also.
It does not slow when working the loader and driving. I have been building up my driveway, so moving quite a few buckets of dirt.
My quick attach handle broke on one side today. I went to take the bucket off to put my forks on and the pin jammed on one side. The...
I got the name and found a reputable site for tracking. It's on its way to S.Korea today.
marinevesseltraffic.com
Unbelievable how many ships are on the water around the world.
Here is a better photo showing where the pivot pin snapped.
Here is a better photo showing the pivot pin and where it snapped. Looks like a similar design. I think I will see if I can get it welded so I have a spare for when the new one snaps.
I have those Titan forks except I got the 60" ones.
They have worked satisfactory for me.
I also bought Titan's 8' hydraulic rear blade. Due to some health happenings and other commitments I didn't actually use it for over a year after I bought it. two weeks ago I used it for the first time...
I hope so.
The hoses though seem so easy to get ripped out from a tree slipping. I
I need to make a set up to keep them tight to the frame. I just grabbed a couple bungees from the truck to test it.
The fittings going into the cylinder are right out there to bang into anything that comes along...
I picked up a hydraulic tree shear for my MT573 from a Ritchie Bros auction and hooked it up and tested it today.
Jury is out on it. It is nice to cut from inside an A/C cab, but it is kind of awkward using it. I guess it's the learning curve. The one thing I do not like is how vulnerable the...
Got the word my machine is finished and they sent me a test run video.
Not sure how to attach it, but I will try.
It says the video does not have an "allowed extension" so it won't let me post it.
I think this is another one, not the same as the previous one I posted.
https://www.autoweek.com/news/a44096418/lincoln-recalls-142734-mkc-over-fire-risk/
You may have been thinking of Ford's:
https://cleantechnica.com/2022/07/11/fire-risk-ford-tells-200000-suv-owners-to-park-outside/#:~:text=Ford%20is%20telling%20owners%20of,the%20ignition%20switches%20were%20off.
If it makes you feel any better I just hooked up a 1,000lb hyd rear blade and it doesn't stay down.
Of course the ground is hard as concrete here. I just hooked it up and did a quick test run.
Sorry, I forgot to link that with the comment waaaayyyy back about breaking plow blade bolts and no battery tool has anything close to the break out force of electric.
I didn't read the previous 11 pages of posts.
I have 2 Makita 36v chainsaws-14&16". I have a makita 36v pole saw and weedwacker. makita 36v blower. I have my Stihl 20" chainsaw and Poulan pole saw and weedwacker.
The gas polesaw and weedwacker never get used anymore. Infact they haven't even...
I have an LS 573 cab tractor and I got 60" 6000lb forks.
Will I ever need that? No. Tractor will never be able to lift that weight. But I want to make sure the forks will never fail for any reason. The 60" I needed because anything shorter and I can't see the ends of the forks.
If the boom was laid out in front of you as you went up the ramp wouldn't that have transferred enough weight to the front to stop it from tipping back?
I run all my tools on batteries now. I could be driving around with 20 batteries in my truck. I have left batteries on the chargers for days. My tools are all Makita.
I store gas and diesel in cans.
A lot of these videos are just scare tactics. You have more chance of causing a fire from...
What do you mean by open room?
You can get an open room area like in Cape Cod 2nd flr, with trusses. Open down the middle and knee walls on the lower slope of the truss.
I remember the first time I saw him in Perry Mason.
Holy cow! Talk about a totally different person. He was in a couple Perry Mason episodes and his parts were nothing like the darling family.
In my previous house I had a 200 Amp service with a 40 slot panel and right next to it another 20 slot subpanel. Then in my basement area I had another sub panel. In my shop I had another subpanel. At my pool I had another sub panel.
Elect dryer, elect double wall ovens, elect cooktop, two...
I wonder if the LS keys are like the key for my JD.
I lost one and took all the serial numbers and model numbers etc to a JD dealer and asked if they could order me a new key.
Parts guy says he doesn't need all the VIN info because they use the same key.
Opens up a drawer and gives me another...
I for one say nix that idea because I did it. Not the bed, but the Jacuzzi tub recessed to the floor. Sure looked cool. Got a lot of oooo's and ahh's from people who saw it.
Reality is it's really awkward getting in and out. I was young when I did it too.
I ended up pulling it and resetting it...
I found out by accident that a company called Jiahe was making a lot of different "brands" for others.
I inquired about an Oulide brand I saw someone selling on Facebook and in my exchange I asked why his was better than Wolf, Longsheen, and a couple others.
He replied to me not to buy them...
Most definitely.
With the 5' forks I can just see about the last 10" of them to line up with a pallet or whatever. I wish I could have gotten 6' forks. I have seen them as fork extensions all the way up to 10'.
A 4' fork and I would never see the ends from the cab on my LS 573.
I put Bali double cell cellular blinds on all the windows in my house. This goes back 25 years. No motorized, all custom made, and spent close to $3 grand for them. I couldn't believe it.
They were nice though. The double cell acted like another R1 added to the window.
Clean up was always a good feeling on my job sites.
We would tend to work like gangbusters to get things done and stay on schedule.
But when the site was all cleaned up, we got a chance to step back and appreciate our work...and collect a final check from the customer.(y)
Ride? I wish.
It has been a little over 30 years now.
Discs at L4/L5 and L5/S1 made the decision for me.
The last ride I took was to bring my friends bike to my house to store in my garage. Couldn't walk for two days after that ride.
Freight for 20ft from China was $2,000. It was basically for a container that size, according to who I dealt with. You could fill it with pillows or in my case a 3.5ton excavator with a couple extra buckets.(y)
All the auctions I have been following have been definitely sellers benefit. I see stuff come up online and think "I'd pay $100 for that", Boom! It sells for $500!
A high cube is going to be about 105 3/4 inside height.
I would think John Deere can tell him whether that engine is compliant. If anybody would know, it would be them.
I was thinking in terms of expanding the sq ft of the Amish plan, not by a huge amount, maybe adding 5-6 ft L and W.
Then, still cabin size, but a little more breathing room inside. It could be stick built pretty easily and cheaper depending on how you finish it.
I am going to start getting my...
I just discovered this now after reading WCD house build.
If you are considering the above, why not just get a modular (not mobile home)? I think the price would be better and you could get more sq. ft.
8x12 bedroom is tiny.
Levis to me were always too expensive. I wore Wranglers in high school and then they went up in price so I found Mavericks. They had a high waist and fit excellent and wore excellent. Then they went out of business I guess.
Then I switched to Rustler because Kmart always had them on sale for...
Where did you get them from?
Most ads you see will say something like "Guaranteed wind and weather tight".
But, WWT class is really one step above junk. Those look like "Single trip" grade.
I always wondered how they would hold up.
Back in Jersey a farm has a huge one up. Must be about 100' long and 25' high.
Looks like those sports complex practice fields they cover over.
How does that hose wrap work?
It is just slit open down the length and snap over the rubber hoses?
Some of my "Chinese junk tools" are made better than my American junk tools.
Have you done any digging yet?
You could do this and it should require no permits.
https://www.cheryindustrial.com/collections/container-shelter
When I was following all the auctions looking for an excavator, these things were popping up at a lot of them. The 20 ft ones went for $1000 a lot of times.
I know what you mean about getting permits. I took my drawings to the building dept. to get my permit. Code official looks at the drawings and survey and asks if I have wetlands on my property. I told him there was a pond that had multiple property owner's borders running through it.
Code...
3years??
What year did you break ground? :)
Just finished reading this from the very start.
With all the video you have, you should look into selling rights for somebody to make this into a show on HGTV considering all the people out there who dream of building their own house. This would...
