I think the T474 is a very reliable tractor, you just need to do your daily preflight list, check fluids and bolts not coming lose (Important in first 50h of ownership). On the exhaust manifold, there is a little square plug you can unbolt if tractor refuses to start due to plugged filter. This is a help to diagnose if the filter is plugged. Then you can accidentally "drop" the filter 😬

Friday we had -37F, we lost water for a day but rectified that problem quickly. Even this morning it was -30F, it beat last years cold of -33F. I'm working on getting a pan heater for my HST so the fluids are little warmer each time I use the block heater.

For forested areas my T474 is pretty nice, last weekend I was into the woods with my cab tractor and forestry winch. But you'll have to determine yourself how big you want to go? I'd say a Legacy model 4820 would be a nice choice.

I was too far invested getting things together, I just had the fuel tank left when I saw it butted up against it. I've had people later tell me even after the dealer installed this kit, the bolts touched the fuel tank and they had to take it off and grind the bolts to correct the problem.

Absolute BS, off road dyed diesel is the same ultra low sulfur as on road diesel. I have 420h with the same engine you've got minus the turbo, no issues. ULSD has been a standard since 2007 as a matter of fact.

The CX tractors are nice subcompacts, sure beats sitting in the open freezin your rear end off in the winter. I suggested this to a friend of mine, but she bought the same tractor as I have, which I told her was shooting a sparrow with a cannon for her objectives.

Tractor brands do not produce their own branded oils, they are made on license by major manufacturer. You should be golden.

Be prepared to confuse hydraulic shop as most if not all fittings on the hydraulics are British Pipe Thread standard.

You should be fine. I probably had AT least two gallons over for 6 months plus before I got a hold of the dye and corrected the level.

This is the dye I use, it's very concentrated. Take one of them drip counters you get from a medicine bottle of eyedrops or similar and just give it a small doze of that. Then run your tractor for 15 minutes to circulate the fluid. If you have one of these fluid extractors like a large Mityvac...

I can, but it takes a practiced hand to find the sweet spot. It doesn't do it fast, but it will. It helps to have the rpms up to 1800-2000.
