    lost nuts!

When I was young, my Dad always blamed me and my brothers for loosing his tools out of his tool box! I have no kids so I guess I blame my wife? She's always using something out of my tools. When I find the tool and ask her about it she says "oh I guess I forgot to put it back"??? Lifes little...

I also once changed the cabin air filter in my wiles Buick. But I used one of the magnetic trays to put the screws into. Ain't going to loose them metal screws! Putting things back together, you guessed it. All but one screw. I searched that car ten times, wife looked too. Frustrated I gave up...

    lost nuts!

SO today after blowing snow I decided to adjust the shoes on the JD 54 inch blower. Had them way up for the first few blowing jobs. Was going to do it outside but it started snowing (lake effect) again! Pulled tractor into unheated garage and decided to us impact wrench (quicker, yeah right)...

    Detach 48x28 Garage - Footings

Put it this way, 5 month or a year down the road, if the floor breaks or cracks from running heavy equipment over the threshold, $150 of concrete would look like if would have been a bargain. I'd run the footings with rebar. But it's your choice.

    Help us choose a dog

Did not mean to sound a negative way. Just saying, we cannot say how long a dog will live, so you must be committed to the animal for life. We have had dogs for the last 40 years of our lives, and yes it is difficult in retirement to travel when you have a dog. I apologize to you if you thought...

    Joy Stick from ebay

So I purchased a 2no joy stick switch to build a control for my frontier SB1154 shute. However the switch does not have a diagram for the elec. connections?? There are 4 screws for connecting the power and control for the direction you'd want the shute to move. But if I were to connect a + & -...

    Permanent mounted Christmas lights

Do this every year now. Few years back I put up hooks on the roof edges then took a couple lengths of my snow rake and tapped a hook on the end to both put the lights up and down. Problem is every year it seems a couple of the hooks break off (plastic) so once in awhile I have to get a ladder...

    John Deere Bullit connectors

Anyone know of a place to get the bullit style electrical connectors that have a short wire lead on them? LVA19138 has them, it is a splitter for rear lights on my 2025r. I'd like to add another light and keep is OEM style wiring.

    New (to me) 4100

Owned a 4100 for over 20 years, brush hog snowblower and 54 in mower. Only thing I had to replace was the glow plugs and front wheel drive seals! Then I stupidly traded it on a 2025R three years ago! If it last half as long as the 4100 it'll be surprising! $100's are Bullitt proof! Tractor never...

Comparison The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains Long After the Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten

And make sure that the tractor has ALL the items that you "think" you are getting! I traded a JD 4100 that was 21 years old for a 2019 2025rJD. None on lot but dealer said he could get one in short amount of time. Low and behold ten days later we closed the deal. Shortly after delivery I found...

    L6060 PTO Engagement

I'm sure glad the idiot doesn't use my equipment! He must either have lots of money or is an employee who doesn't own the tractor! The way he races around not only shows he has no concern for equipment but also shows he doesn't care for SAFETY!

    shoe or not to shoe?

Was going to upgrade my snowblower on my 2025 john deere to a front mounted blower. However after being told by my dealer that it was "no big deal" to change between the blower and bucket, I seen that it was quite more than I would want to do in the winter here in the U P of Mich. So after...

    John Deere quick hitch

Thanks DL Meisen and i7win7! I have shortened pto shafts before and I have watched the youtube on pto's too. I only have a 4 ft rotary cutter and a 54 inch rear snow blower. But sometimes hooking up the rotary cutter is a pain! Snowblower at least it stays hooked up for the winter, but rotary I...

    John Deere quick hitch

So if I purchase a Imatch Quick Hitch for my JD2025r, will I have to replace all my PTO shafts? Can you purchase just one half of the shaft? While I would like the ease of the quick hitch, I not a huge fan of paying out for 2 complete PTO shafts.

    Snow Shear bolt question

I get the size and grades. Answer me this, how tight should you tighten these bolts on the chain drives for a Landpride Blower? Should they be snug? Tight? If they come loose when blowing snow, the blower developes a click, click click. Same with PTO shear bolts, tight, snug? Thanks
