TYM T474 vs John Deere 4044M

Setting it on the hood wasn’t too bad on my JD1120. But that high fender stuff, with a cab is hilariously bad. It’s nice to just be able to walk up and fill the tank with a cab from the ground.. It also makes gravity bulk tanks less ridiculous to put together as they can be lower if needed.

TYM T474 vs John Deere 4044M

Oh man I forgot about the 4052 and the high fender refuel. That was the other major no go besides the door seals falling off on the lot for me and my wife who has a bad back.

TYM T474 vs John Deere 4044M

Hydro noise IS something I strongly considered while tractor shopping. It is why I cross shopped Deere, they actually publish cab dB readings. It’s pretty quiet on my MF except during dramatic power changes but that’s to be expected.

I even cross shopped loans at credit unions and stuff but the 0% “scheme”still worked out to be the best deal even if it “feels” deceiving. Still, everyone should do their homework and do some simple math. And I agree about tractor pricing, that’s why I bought the tractor 2 years earlier than...

TYM T474 vs John Deere 4044M

I did have an idea of the interest rate, loan terms and monthly payment. They drew up both sets of paperwork. In the end, it was about $70/mo less to do the 0% +finance charge than the 5% or whatever it was without the finance charge. The risk for me is I owe more in pay off which would...

TYM T474 vs John Deere 4044M

0% on my MF meant the same length loan but lower payments. As I plan on keeping this tractor past the end of the loan(forever?), 0% made sense for my case.

TYM T474 vs John Deere 4044M

I was unimpressed with the quality of cab components on the Deere and some weird design choices. However you have an excellent point about parts diagrams/ordering. Deere is a big winner there, especially if you like shopping online.

I really wanted the Branson due to the cost and I liked the mechanical fuel injection/passive dpf system (easy to delete in the future). It is a well built tractor upon first hand inspection. I was shopping for a similar sized tractor recently. I cross shopped: -Branson 20 series hydro cab -JD4052R hydro/cab - Massey 2850M hydro/cab I ended up with the Massey for a multitude of reasons. If you have a good Massey dealer nearby it’s worth a look.

I’ve put 19 hours on it so far. My direct comparisons were a Branson 20 series hydro/cab and a jd 4052R hydro/cab. Ergonomics and comfort drove my wife and I to the Massey. The Branson has an awkward in and out as well as a somewhat goofy cruise control and no speedo. The JDs door seals were...

Rear Finish Mower Ford 3100 How large of a finish mower?

Diesel or gas claims 37-38 PTO hp and 47 engine hp. I just sold a John Deere 1120 with similar specs and I mowed 10 acres with my King Kutter 72” rear finish mower. The engine never bogged in thick grass though I had to occasionally slow down to maintain cut quality. I could mow at 4-6 mph...
