150 years worth of Gopher mounds

Typically, I'd be hesitant to contact any government agency with help or advice on anything, especially related to my land. "We're from the government, and we're here to help." However, in my dealings with the USDA and Forest Service specifically, I'd consider it. They seem to want to help and...

    TODAY'S GUN TIME

Same! I bought my wife a 20ga pump years ago. It's got a full tube of #4 with an empty but open chamber. It sits on her side of the bed, underneath. She knows that if something goes bump, and I get up, to grab the 20ga and slide the action forward to chamber a round. Grab her cell phone with 911...

A sad day on the farm

My insurance agent suggested that we keep a running list of our higher priced items in the house, with serial numbers, makes, models, etc. I took her advice, but instead simply take a cell phone video. Every once in a while I'll remember to grab my phone and walk though the house filming...

150 years worth of Gopher mounds

Gophers really do suck! I have had to do extensive research in order to eradicate them from my property, which is still on going. The problem is they burrow deep. I didn't go through Brian, but did speak with him about the project. In the end, I went with Agristoreusa. I did a video about it. Makes hooking and unhooking...

A sad day on the farm

I am so sorry for your loss. When I was about 9 years old, we lost our shop, an out building (called the pump house), a hay stack, and the hay shed. I was woken up by my grandfather (who I lived with on the farm) in the wee hours of the morning. He said the hay stack is on fire. We grew...

    Water in transmission

I've had to deal with water contamination a few times. There are ways to 'dry' the oil, but since you're in need of service anyway, a simple drain and replace is all that is needed. Drain the oil, replace the filter (these filters wont filter water). Maybe dump a few qts of oil into the trans...
