How should this diverter valve be plumbed?

That one springs back to center when you let go. Is that what you want? Or do you want it to stay in either position it is left in? If so, get one like that one, but with a detent in both directions. When you order, you don't need the closed center sleeve, but should also get the power beyond...

    B7300 "Starves" for fuel

That's what I think, too. Suction air leak just as and where RJ says. Bubble is pulled in and then rises to the fuel filter where the bubble eventually displaces all the incoming fuel. Often no fuel leak shows in a suction leak. Good culprits are bad connection or old hose - especially if a hose...

I think they are designed to go quite a bitn farther than that many hours, but have to say that I cannot think of a single homeowner/small acreage tractor that I have seen with over 2500 hours. Lots with 1500, so maybe it just takes time. Now for Ag and construction equipment, 2000 hrs is...

Yanmar 336D front loader hydraulic issue

I'd look at the suction line from the sump to the pump. Hoses and connection, including the line to and from the screw on filter. Sounds like that is where it is. Even if a suction hose looks good, old ones will leak air and cavitate the pump. The "loader valve" usually means the Front End...

    YM2310D not charging

Let us know what worked. Here is a synopsis that may help. Whether you call them generators, dynamos, or alternators is purely regional preference. They all do the same thing; they rotate and put out AC at a higher AC voltage than the battery needs for charging. After the AC voltage is...

I think I agree with Winston here. At any rate, it would be simple to test and find out. Simply install the headless plug, and then install a hose loop from the primary A to B ports as shown. Then see if the 3pt will work. If it does, then all that is required is that your backhoe also have a...

Is there a safe way to pump gasoline into a plastic tank in the bed of a truck?

True, but the problem becomes how a charge takes to dissipate. If you present a better path - like a metal nozzle - you can get a static spark immediately. Is there a safe way to pump gasoline into a plastic tank in the bed of a truck?

I think that's probably correct. Diesel is low fuming and hard to ignite. Doesn't mean its impossible. I also think that a lot of the "information" in this thread is well-intended but wrong. For one thing, there is no way a a truck body&frame is being grounded when it sits on tires. For...

1 tractor rest of forever -- what brand?

To last forever, it has to be simple but convenient. Simple things last, but there is no since in having one so simple it is a pain to operate - or so complex that a failure cannot be fixed by any mechanic. So I'd say my forever tractor is any well known make & mode with these check offs: 30...

T Connection from Rear Remotes Control Valve, Is It Necessary?

If I understand right, your WR Long 3rd function valve to the grapple's 2 way cylinders is powered by the PB port of the FEL valve. And then a pressure line goes from that WR Long PB back to the remotes. So you will have three daisy-chained valve sets. Each valve set requires its own return...

Water gets past the shifters; it's common. When water gets into trans/hydraulic fluid it makes the clear fluid look milky. You may have to change it several times to get rid of the water. I'd use cheaper fluid to get rid of the water before putting good high dollar trans/hydraulic fluid in there.

What is the HP limit on SSQA? I know that SSQA seems OK on our 60 hp tractor, but does SSQA come in category/sizes like 3pt hitches do? M62 TLB for Maintaining Hilly Land ?

Yes. That's a good example of a latch design better done by hand. Latching the SSQA hydraulically with with a button from the cab doesn't remove the requirement to dismount and check that the tops and pins are properly engaged. So there is minimal savings of time or effort. Might as well latch...

And the advertisement says 4wd.... Frankly I don't think that price is too high for what is being offered. It's from the era before manufacturing became so profit oriented and before emissions went crazy. I like it. No manufacturer's warranty, but it is enough under today's new price to pay...

    How to measure hydraulic pressure?

Higher rpm mostly moves more fluid and makes the lift happen faster. But some of you have probably noticed that raising the RPM also produces a little more force - just enough to be noticable. Here's why: The reason for the higher force is also the reason that oil is able to lubricate small...

    M59 HST no go?

I also made a hand control for the thumb. Much better. Some day I'll make it look nice, too. Part of the reason that the M59 is so much fun to modify is that it was designed by someone who really understood the artistry of mechanical design. You can see the M59 designer's attention to...

Which Brand/Model has largest HST Tractor?

40 acres is a nice size farm. Isn't it fun to be thinking on tractors!? My wife and I made a project out of buying ours, and had fun spending several weekends going to various dealers. I'd say keep an open mind. What you get might be a Tool Cat or a Telehandler rather than - or in addition to -...

    L3400 Battery size

Glad it worked. I was going to mention a couple of things that worked for our Kubota - but it sounds like yours didn't need them. A low battery isn't the end of the world - jumping works. But not having to do that sure is nice on cold mornings. It helped to get a battery with the same terminal...

Buying Advice Tier V emission standards soon for new diesel engine tractors?

Your wanting to find someone to blame for what I see as a natural process doesn't bother or surprise me. I think the same human limitation that causes progress to be slow also tends to have us looking for villains where there are none.... just people working at their own pace. rScotty

Buying Advice Tier V emission standards soon for new diesel engine tractors?

Mechanical systems can become more reliable. New things are often unreliable. Mechanical systems like emission control aren't unreliable because of some complicated financial or government policy or some sort of political conspiracy. New things are unreliable because they haven't had time to...

Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I never thought I'd say this, but every time I stop in HF I'm impressed. I have their shop crane now, and several of their roll-arounds carts with the single drawer. Basically as good or better than anyone else's - including Home Depot - and for about 1/3 the price.

    How to crank a 5030?

Well, there you go. All the information on actuating the thermostart... but nothing about where it is or how it works. Sometimes a thermostart will have it's own small tea-cup sized reservoir full of diesel fuel. That reservoir is filled either by a tap off the return line from injectors to...

    TC29 FEL Curl is Weak

I agree with oldnslo. It sounds the curl function on your loader is working normally. Your 7308 loader specs say it measures lift and curl from the bucket pivot, so the distance out to the load will make a big difference. Doubling the distance to the load cuts the curl force in half. The...

Buying Advice Tier V emission standards soon for new diesel engine tractors?

Yes, I hear you. My new car is a '97. I can work on it - barely. A fair number of us old timers got our start by fixing up a car and a house that nobody wanted - then gradually built up to something newer and nicer. As I look around, I see just as many of those "start from scratch"...

    Tractor shopping

Sounds like the mechanic that did the split and reassembly missed a few things. That's not the fault of the tractor, but if that is the level of mechanics where you are, it isn't likely to change. A new tractor will do the chores and save your body for a few decades before it gets that many...

    3/4” or 1” cordless impacts

Back about 2005, I bought the old style set of Milwaukee cordless power tools. The V28 series they were called. Heavily built and also just plain heavy. Twice the heft of the modern Fuel series. They were beasts for torque compared to the modern Fuels. They were discontinued about 10 years ago...

Buying Advice Tier V emission standards soon for new diesel engine tractors?

There's a lot of history that says any society that allows wealth to be inherited or passed down through the generations in any way always devolves into an elite/servant society. If you think about it, inherited wealth will eventually create that sort of society. It has to; there isn't any...

Buying Advice Tier V emission standards soon for new diesel engine tractors?

Sort of, but that basic chemistry definition is slightly wrong. It needs a slight addition. It should read: ......"when you mix an acid and a base together, the end product is a salt and water." So not "salt and water", but "a salt and water". Table salt is just one of many types of salts...

    surging tractor

I just dealt with a surging problem on our 310 John Deere. Not sure what fixed it, but replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, and all the rubber compression gaskets that JD uses on their connections to filter & fuel pump. While I was doing this I had to disconnect the hose from the fuel tank and...

    3-Point Hitch 3point hitch arms for M59

I recall from a previous thread that one of of the L series TLBs also used the same Cat. 2 3pt kit as the M59... but I'm not sure which one. It was either the L45,47, or 48. This is from the 2014 WholeGoods Catalogue showing part numbers. If anyone has WholeGoods from other years we can check there.

    Adding a loader to a B2650

Seriously?? I think I'd be looking for a different dealer. My suspicions are going into overdrive. Given what he is showing you, your own expertise or lack, and the questions that you have .... I'd want to take a professional mechanic with me to look over that B2650. You are assuming it is OK...
