Well if the 4cyl engine has enough power to go up & down, with bar tires you won’t lose traction. No need to mow sideways. It’s more unsafe.

I have their little printouts from Napas battery tester, but misplaced them. If I find them, I will share the printouts, but the batteries were a little over 12V after full charging, but the printout said “ok”. I always thought 12V was too low.

Try bar tires on one. Might cost you $400. Might save you $30,000. If your wheels wont take them, buy a set of Kubota wheels for a ZD331 which I know will take them. Rattle off your old wheels & turf tires and rattle on the ones with bar tires.

JD & Kubota make great compacts, but I’d take a look at Massey Ferguson before you sign on the dotted line.

The only option for a really soft ride is Ferris with their patented suspension. Most of the rest are dependent on the seat/seat suspension. Weight is a big determinant of ride quality, too. They’re tryin to tell me 12V and 700CCA on a 900CCA battery is considered “good”. When the tractor is not running, I see 12V. When the tractor is (jump) started, I see 12.7 then 12.9, then 13.1, then 13.4, etc.

If my tractor is showing 13.4+ on voltmeter and I have no trouble light on as stated, why would it be alternator?
