    3 point spreader

I'm in the market for a 3 point spreader, I have searched this forum and cannot find a post related to my question. My L3400 has a quick hitch on rear and it looks to me if I buy a spreader that the control lever will be too far back to reach while sitting in the seat. Is there an extension made...

    bucket removal

I have never removed a bucket from a FEL before, I looked it over and am wondering how difficult it is to remove those pins? I guess drive them out with a large punch? Nothing is rusted as tractor has been in a shed for it's life. L3400 from 2009. Thanks- Oldstuff

I am about to buy a cylinder to add to the rear of my L3400 for my top link, I am looking at other posts here on this site and see some add a check valve and others do not. I use my tractor with a rotary cutter mainly but also have a 7-shank cultivator for putting in my food plot and a rear...

    class 11/1 3 point?

I looked on tractor data and it list a Massey Ferguson model 261 as a class 11/1 3 point setup. I am not familiar with a multi class arrangement- what does this mean?

    brush cutter dimensions

I'm in the process of upgrading to a tractor that has a FEL (not quick disconnect) but am trying to determine if it will fit in my shed with a bruch cutter on it. I know the exact distance from the front of the FEL to the holes in the lift arms at the rear and it looks like my brush cutter (King...

    mice/wiring question

My existing tractor (1963 Ford 2000) has had no problems with mice chewing on wiring or hoses and I do have mice. Am looking right now for a newer tractor made between 1998 and 2013. Are any owners of Kubota and New Holland tractors having good luck with no mice/wiring problems with these...

    chain harrow question

Got a new 6 ft wide by 5 ft long chain harrow and hooked up to the tractor to test. It was getting real dark so I had limited time and the farm is 150 miles away so I just had a few minutes to try it, I noticed that when I made a sort of tight turn but not extremely tight and the hooks that hold...

    rim width

I am in need of another rim for my 1963 Ford model 2000. When I measured it I measured inside width from bead to bead and it was 10 inches. Now that I am looking for another wheel I am assuming that is how to measure them, because I am seeing 10, 11 and 12 inch rims for sale. My tire size is...

    15 % ethanol

Since the government is likely to raise the mandatory ethanol % in our gasoline from 10 to 15 % what does this do to us tractor owners of old tractors. For example- I have a 1963 Ford model 2000 4 cyl gas. I have heard that this will be hard on carburators. Is ther an additive to compensate...

    electric top link

Is there such a thing as an electric top link? By this I mean one that is electric (12 volt DC) only or an electric motor driven hydraulic cylinder? Would be helpful on a tractor that has no rear hydraulics. Thanks, Oldstuff

    lift arm length

I have already sent an email to King Kutter about this today but have not had a reply yet, thought I would run it by the people here as I really like and respect this site. Tractor is a 1963 Ford model 2000 and the rotary cutter is a King Kutter 5 foot model light weight- works well for what...

    cultipacker weight/horsepower

I have been keeping an eye out for a cultipacker about 6 foot wide (no less) in order to cover the wheel width of a Ford model 2000 gas engine which is 36 HP. Up until now I had not given what horsepower is needed to pull a cultipacker since I am looking at it as a rolling load and not to much...

Oil & Fuel  Stabil in gas mix

I have a 1963 Ford 2000 tractor with a gas engine that I use once every 6 to 8 weeks and when I do use it I put anywhere from 2 to 4 hours on it. In between the times I use it I leave the tank full of gas and the gas has had Stabil added. Up until yesterday I have had no trouble starting it...

    Ford 2000 distributor

I have had a 1963 Ford 2000 4 cyl tractor since last fall and all is well, I really like it for what I am doing- mainly mowing with a little rear grader blade work. I want to be ready for replacing points and condenser when the time arrives, however, when I look at tune up kits at Tractor...
