Here is the situation I've checked the voltage at the battery before starting and it's at 12.5 V so that's good. When I start the tractor the voltage at the battery reads the same; however if I turn off the electrical switch an leave the tractor running I get 13 V.
What might be going on?
I'm having a heck of a time getting a new fan belt for my lb1914. I was wondering if anybody has tried using variable length fan belt such as an Acculink? I know the oem FB is not as wide, but think the pulleys may accommodate the wider Acculink.
My battery has been running down and I checked the generator which was bad and installed a new one. The voltage now registers 13.6 volts so it's working, but the dash idiot light for charging won't go off when the tractor is running. What might cause this to happen?
I have what I believe to be an old Cessna hydraulic pump from an International Super A. My father in law used to have a Super A and stored many things in my barn before he died. I am wondering if this is worth anyhing or should I jus trecycle it?
My Kioto keeps runnning the battery down and I don't know if its a short or the charging system. Can anyone tell me how to check whether the alternator/regulator are operating using my volt/amp meter?
I assume I can check for a short by checking the resistance between the two disconnected...
