Got a Kubota B21, with a WR Long 50" 4 in 1 bucket. Hose popped last fall in the middle of a task. Capped the lines, disconnected the solenoid and welded small easy to grind off straps to hold it closed.
This spring, converted the pin on bucket to SSQA and, if I say so myself, it came out...
I'm looking to convert my 2 spool (standard A spools) to latching float on at least one spool.
The supplier of my valve has a latching detents available which seems to address that.
However, despite discussing it with them, I am getting confused over how that can work, with the same "A" type...
I'm putting a 12x16 addition on the south side of house. Foundation is poured, 2" EPS insulation, 6 MIL poly, mesh and PEX (for radiant heat) is in place.
However, the weather has turned here in NY with forecast for daytime temps in the mid/upper 30's and lows (nights) in the mid 20's...
While I find this grease to be great for use on the TLB, once it gets on clothing, it seems impossible to get off. Can't wash it off hands easily either. Wipes off relatively easily, but washing it off is another matter.
It's real easy, for me, to get it all over and clean up is a task...
I have a Kubota B21 for which I purchased an ATI SSQA adapter. Pricey, but very well built, to my amateur eyes.
Put it on and tested it with a SSQA attachment I had and loved it.
But when it came time to being cutting and welding the WRlong bucket, which has a curved back, for whatever...
About ready to cut the pin on ears off a WR Long 4n1 bucket to weld on SSQA adapter.
The WR Long has a curved back on the bucket, so hard to figure how much to cut. One gent that did this cut those ears off more or less completely, leaving little on the bucket and used them to weld onto his...
Looking into getting a quick attach for BT751 backhoe (for B21).
I know Bxpanded makes one, but apparently they can break in "rocky soil" but get replaced under warranty. I emailed them asking about that as I have nothing but rocky soil here, but got no reply. That I noticed. Will check...
I have a spare bucket with "teeth". All but the two end teeth were, sort of, easy to remove, the nuts and bolts being amenable to persuasion. If there is a more appropriate location, please move this.
However, the two outside teeth are welded on for some reason. The bolt holes were either...
Need to find a good relatively cheap tool to help remove a cylinder end cap, with "radial" holes, picture attached. I have tools to remove the ones with holes "on top".
Bought a "gear wrench" set on Amazon, which had a video of a guy wailing away on it. Me? broke the pin off first try. And...
Posting this is a couple places.
Made up a simple pressure gauge to check relief setting on my B21. A simple T fitting with 5000 psi gauge and a QC coupler on each end.
It does work and show pressure, indicating about 1800 when the relief actuates. About what I expected and will, unless...
Lots of old threads and various opinions, but would like to revisit. I've not done much but all the NPT I've done (Kubota B21 2000# nominal) have been "dry" and not leaked. But I gather that is not the norm.
Teflon tape seems to be on no ones "good idea" list.
Various other solutions, loc...
Title says it all. Converting a Kubota B21 mounted WR Long 4n1 bucket to SSQA but there are no QC couplers, it is all "hard connected". Obviously time for QC and new hoses.
I was going to just use the Kubota style AG couplers, but I've been told Flat Face is standard and should I rent any...
Getting ready to convert pin on FEL 4n1 bucket (Wr Long on Kubota B21), which has "hard connected" lines from the solenoid valve to the 4n1 jaw cylinders, to SSQA.
Obviously, the thing to do is add QC couplers, And replace the well abused original hoses. I bought it that way, in case you...
Home owner with a Kubota B21 TLB, Woods box scraper and EA rock rake.
Attempting to level, more or less, an area of mixed soil and LOTS of rocks, ranging from "eggs" to a foot or more. Some are rounded, like "river rocks" some are sharp edged as if newly broken up. Might be "fill", but...
Got an EA rock rake a year or so ago. We are all aware of the calamity, so no need to go there.
From the git-go, I found there was an issue with the top link mounting design. Otherwise no complaints. Well other that the "special orange paint job".
Issue is the Kubota (Gannon) hydraulic top...
Have an issue with my WR Long 4n1 bucket where the solenoid seem energized all the time. Pulling the fuse to it solved some sudden weird hydraulic control issues.
Wondering and hoping it is just the switch or maybe a short hidden from view.
Since it is too dark for me to work on it now and...
Wanted to check hydraulic pressure on Kubota B21.
Thinking to build a test gauge rig that will plug into the Back Hoe circuit at the supply quick connect. Basically a T fitting, pressure gauge and the appropriate quick connects. Unplug the BH supply, plug this in and the BH into it. That is...
I saw a post in a Kubota FB group about EA declaring bankruptcy. Since it originated on a TYM group, thought it was BS, but the EA FB group is "paused" as of 2/1/2024
Their web site appears unchanged. I called but could only leave a message.
Anyone know the real scoop?
Advice for buying at auction, Internet bidding.
So is bidding on equipment a compact TLB in this case, just another case of "A Fool and his money? Or is it reasonable to give them a shot?
There are some fairly low hour "clean looking" machines listed, but it is problematic getting an...
Got a Woods Box Scraper BSS60 couple years ago. Been using it maybe once a year.
Dawned on me today there is a bit of "slop" in the hole for the top link. Got a Cat 1 top link, 3/4 inch eye and pin. The user manual does not mention bushings or show any. I guess is shouldn't as it does say...
Trying to remove the right floor pan on a B21, Got it free (bolts, 2 springs, hairpin clip removed) and can move it around, but not out.
No matter how I attack it, it jams up against something.
Ideas? Sawzall is a no go.
While doing seals on boom cylinder decided to change bushings and whatever on boom and swing as it seemed a bit sloppy.
Found the set/lock screws for the pivot pins were loose, backed part way out. Getting things apart found the holes in the pins were "hogged out" and the threads pretty much...
Planning to reseal boom cylinder. The BH is in the "removed from tractor" position, which makes it a task to remove the boom cylinder.
The swing cylinders are still out as I resealed them and figure it is easier to move the boom, etc, when they are not in the way. I expect to replace the...
Can someone supply the weight of the BT751 BH? I need to lift the boom enough to swing the boom to one side, so as to remove the boom cylinder for servicing. This is a backyard deal, not a shop floor, so I am improvising.
The swing cylinders are already out, so it should swing easily...
Swing cylinders leaking on the BH and finally getting around to resealing them. While pulling off the "support" (the top pivot point for the cylinders) the bolts were very reluctant to come off. Made sure there was no stress on the bar or cylinders to cause that. All four of them were...
Kubota B21 with a WR Long 4 in 1 bucket. Got some very rocky soil, some call "glacial till", but all I know is the rocks are many and vary in size from softball to 55 gallon drum size some are sharp, some rounded.
I was hoping my new EA "rock rake" would be enough, but, while it is willing...
Several times now have experienced a "pop/clunk" and a bit of a "jerk" when starting out and just rolling slowly. Could be my imagination, or being on gravel, but is seems a bit "bumpy" too. It only does it occasionally, not constantly or consistent with any particular motion, but, maybe when...
Start here, move if appropriate.
Got a Kubota B21 that should, just, run this off the rear PTO. Questions are, anyone know the reputation and reliability of this baumalight oufit. They're in Ontario. I was looking at their tree spade but it needs hydraulic pressure of 2900+ and the B21...
Probably the wrong place, but, I have a Dewalt portable compressor with a working pressure of 200 PSI. All the drain hose kits I see on ebazon claim 175 as the working pressure.
While that might seem like a "probably work fine" non issue, I really don't want to put up with the noise and...
About to order some weld on grab hooks for front bucket for B21. 54 inches wide or so.
Was going to put 2 hooks a few inches in from each end, but have seen some with 3, one in middle.
Any real reason to put a middle one in?
Want to use an effective, as in "it works", water based or soluble cleaner to de-grease parts of the machine, specifically the hydraulic cylinders.
My "make do" efforts using mineral spirits, brush, buckets and brake cleaner leave a lot to be desired.
Waddaya suggest? Krud Kutter is in...
Kubota BT751 backhoe stabilizer cylinder was leaking. Seals pretty much crumbled during removal. Upon inspection the rod has scratches about mid way, most of which pass the finger nail test. A small cluster about the area of a pea, near a small nick, maybe sesame seed size, can be felt by...
What can I use to protect from burns due to hot hydraulic lines and fittings? I could fabricate a metal shield, but it might be simpler to just wrap the hose end and fittings with something like woven hose protector and leave it a bit loose. Would not prevent a determined fool from getting...
Planning to add stone to drive/road. Over the years I have regraded after a storm and well as adding fresh from time to time. All those times it was just a matter of running the tractor back and forth countless times and "back dragging" the front bucket for a smooth(ish) finish.
This time...
Looking for small quantity source for what are known as "kickout rings" a version of the circular cotter ring or pin. OD is a hair or two under 2 inches.
These are used to secure some pins on 3pt implements and I am bound to lose some one way or another. It is a lot easier to have spares on...
This fitting is attached to the side of the hydraulic cylinder where it transitions to the hose connection, Kubota part # 75590-13270. Same or similar fitting appears on all the Kubota cylinders I've seen.
It, or the hose fitting, appears to be leaking. This one happens to be on one of the...
Developed a leak on Kubota BT751 back hoe, fits B21 TLB, to give an idea of size. BH is now detached. It is filthy with fresh fluid and caked on crud.
Think I identified the leak, but considering a rebuild of cylinders and hose replacement. Some cylinders are weepy at the rod ends and some...
It's welding related, cause, well, grinder.
Anyway ordered a PFERD 4 1/2 threaded arbor disc to try out. Since I have never used either before, 2 Birds one disc. Threads on nicely and will give it a test soon, but, is that it? Just over hand tight an neither arbor adapter plate involved...
Developed a small leak on BH stabilizer cylinder. Not bad, but makes a mess when parked and collects dirt.
Then I went to order a seal kit, expecting the price to be close to when I looked last year. My word. Gracious me. Land sake, etc. It looks like the price has at least doubled, maybe...
Lately have a need to change buckets on Kubota backhoe, swapping between a toothed and smooth bucket and a "root ripper" claw from Bxpanded. Which BTW makes root ripping almost fun. But I may be repeating myself. Attachment is via a conventional (?) nut and bolt though the pin hole.
While...
Might not be a good title or the right forum, but, got about between 1, 2 acres of treed land behind the house. Soild is VERY rocky with stones of all sizes, some pretty hefty. Trees of all sizes and varieties.
The intent is to be able to put up an out building for work and storage and...
While running the B21 engine searching for an elusive fuel leak, thought there was some "valve clatter". While that may be normal, I went looking in the WSM for a procedure and maintenance interval. Did not find any. Perhaps I missed it.
Any published spec and procedure?
Began noticing fuel smell. Wrote it off to having spilled some while filling last week. After working a few hours shut down and noticed some dripping, found a puddle of fuel at the injector closest to the cab.
Cleaned up, started engine ran at 2500 and watched. Puddle began to form and could...
Got a spare bucket, a Kubota BT1953A. I was thinking using it as a smooth bucket, no teeth for occasional use.
But, the two outer teeth are welded on, the rest are bolt on. Not that experienced but I've only every seen all bolted or all welded.
It also appears the bot holes may have been...
Got a 20 Ton Troy Bilt log splitter, Honda engine, that runs well. Getting more painful to bend and lift and got a lot of wood to split as I clear a wooded area.
While I can tilt the splitter to vertical was thinking to add a hydraulic winch to help drag/lift log sections. Most I have found...
2006 B21, bought used. Getting around to addressing the funkiness of the FWD/REV (aka Speed control) pedal. According the the WSM pictures, the previous owner must have removed a part (after it broke?) and added a shade tree spring setup.
It DOES work, but not "great" as it sometimes does...
Any ideas on adding spiral plastic hose guard without removing at least one end of a hose? I did a few yesterday, before the rain, and it is quite tedious, but it is good for an arm (and patience) workout. Not that it's so easy even with an end free.+
I did not expect the wrap for a few more...
Thinking of making up steel hydraulic lines with JIC ends, if not now, down the line. I know the basics of flaring, having done many automotive brake lines and copper fuel oil lines but some questions I cannot find answers to.
For instance, with hoses with JIC ends, one can have, say a 3/8...
I need to get my machines under cover. Plans for garages, pole barns and the like face many obstacles.
So, I was thinking, for now, of a "car port" deal, even if open on all sides, This is made more attractive by the fact the town does not require permits for "detached" buildings of under 144...
Any "drop in/bolt up" engines for a 240 garden tractor, Kawasaki FC420v? Rebuilds practical? Don't have one now, left it when I sold the old home. Regret level is very high. So, searching for redemption. At a low ball price of course. I'm a softy, but not (too, too,) stupid. And, I'm...
While i ponder getting custom hoses made JIC flare at each end, for a rather tight space, I wonder making them out of steel or copper-nickle would be feasible. I'd have to by a 37 degree flare kit, which could be handy for other purposes, but wonder about the working pressure.
Seems the copper...
Looking for some photos of a bone stock B21 motion control, the forward/reverse pedal mechanism. Mine has some "play" in there and sometimes does not completely return to neutral just from releasing the pedal. Seems to be missing the "HST damping" device that is apparently to prevent rocking...
Anyone know the specs for 75595-63410, Plug, Orifice? It threads into the FEL Valve on B21, and an Elbow threads into to it, which connects the return pipe to tank.
I suspect the male end is either British or NSPT.
Starting a new thread just for this question. Open center system, added a spool valve that needs a return to tank.
I wanted to make the line as short as possible by T-ing into a fitting at the tank, to avoid long hoses/hardlines and an "uphill" run. Now that I crawl under there, I find the...
As I finally close in on finishing the Top and Tilt add, I think I want to convert my mechanical thumb to hydraulic. I found several threads here on exactly that, so I got the gist of it.
I ordered a single spool open center mono block valve, with power beyond, from Summit, thinking to use...
Need 1 each Kubota P/N 7J417-66220 and 7J417-6320 couplers and found then at Summmit Hydraulics with NPT ends.
So, while waiting for assurance from them they will mate, leak free with my existing fittings, what is the best sealant, goop, tape, and what brand? I would not trust NPT without any...
'Looking for a replacement/equivalent for an obsolete Kubota fitting.
It's a "bulkhead connector" p/n 70090-20966 "straight thread bulkhead connector 9/16-18 SAE" (aka ORB or #6 SAE ORB).
The quick connect couplers that came with the top and tilt kit (may have got the last one) are 1/4"...
Looking for the dimensions for B21 lower arm Spacer p/n 32721-65220. I have the ones from the B26 kit, but turns out they are too long for the B21. Looks like OD 22mm, ID 32mm, width 16mm
I can buy new or cut the ones I have. $40 vs some band saw time. But I may have to buy a new metal...
Does the 240GT with the Kawasaki engine have adjustable valves or hydraulic? I had one and do not remember ever doing an adjustment or reading of it.
Reason, see a used one for sale "with a slight tick" that "only needs adjustment".
Thanks.
joe a.
This may not be the right place to post this, but, here goes.
A fellow about 10 miles from me (zip code 12484, near Kingston NY) is offering a "modular building" 24x30 for sale, but has no means to move it. He did provide the number of a fellow, with no opinion as to his ability, that does...
Want to check hydraulic pressure on B21. The WSM make is seem pretty simple, though tedious, with a screw and lock nut adjustment, no shims. That's a plus.
Don't have a test kit, but was looking at the bxpanded kit. I'm waiting for some response from them on questions.
One being, would it...
Might go look at a JD 240 GT that I'm told has a bad or broken drive belt. While the price is not bad, I'd rather not buy something with a locked spindle or bad transaxle. I do expect to have to put some work and cash into it, probably a deck rebuild, but don't need a boat anchor.
Any way to...
Been looking at the Tree Frog "manual" tree spade that comes in a 3pt hitch version. Then I saw some Vermeer TS-20 hydraulic ones. Vermeer has all sizes, some with engines and wheeled units, but this one is "tiny" in comparison.
Finding details on it is almost impossible. Vermeer is no...
Probably lots of threads on this but did not find any. I'm collecting parts to hook up a top and tilt kit. Got an 11gpm joystick valve coming which appears correct, from what I've read, as the tractor has an 8.5gpm pump and "they say" valves should be 25% greater capacity. So about right...
Have a B21. Never had a thumb option I know of so I purchased a mechanical bolt on thumb from Bro-Tek couple years ago. Works well enough, but, it is a manual thumb and so I have to curl the bucket to it. As the design is such the thumb cannot move any more forward and still stow properly, I...
Looking for someone familiar with the Kubota Top and Tilt kit (B-3032) and the B3031 "Auxiliary Hydraulic Kit" or even the B87034 valve mouning kit. I got the TnT kit (astounding, but true). The hydraulic and mount kits are no where to be had, apparently.
I'm not concerned about that as I...
Saw a Kioti LK3054 advertised. Text says the BH is "frame mounted NOT a 3pt hitch" making it better.
Question is, is that so? Is it frame mounted? Is there also a 3pt hitch?
B21 floor mat is pretty much destroyed, missing clips too. Might just ditch it as it is moving about under foot now.
The Kubota part is $130 or so and no idea if it is better or not.
So looking for alternatives. Like maybe no floor mat, but doing one of those bed liner coatings on it, like...
May not be the place. Toying with the idea of a used mini-excavator, just for one job basically. Rental probably makes more sense, but here is my question. I need something that can dig right up next to a foundation, for footing drain work.
I've heard of something like "zero clearance"...
While pondering what to do about a bent "thumb" (steel one), I noticed two grease point I don't recall every touching before today. The are the two on the BH pivot, which seem quite difficult to get a straight shot at as the boom seem to leave very little clearance.
I have a lock n lube...
This may be the wrong place to ask, but, since it relates to hydraulic cylinder work . . .
Probably going to end up doing a few more cylinder re seals. I'd like to check the rod straightness in a more certain manner than the straight edge and feeler gauge method. I have dial indicator and...
The bushing in the rod end eye was bad, so pressed in new ones. Question is, "flush" good enough or should they be pressed in a little bit further?
WSM does not bother to say and I cannot see the ones on the machine without pulling the pins.
Looking for a source of springs to make a hose holder/support to keep hoses from dragging and scrapping in different applications. EA makes or used to make a kit, but it was pretty pricey for what it was.
New question on redoing the seals. Put the seals in the cap without too much difficulty. I used the 3D printed tools to get two of the large diameter seals on. Worked great. Oddly, the hardest one to get in, the dust seal, is the one I expected NO trouble with.
Got ready to think about...
The saga of replacing seals on Kubota B21 BT721 BH dipper stick cylinder continues.
Today's chapter brings the bitter disappointment of the Rod and Piston getting within a couple inches of the end of the cylinder, just below the fluid elbow and refusing to come out. I have to pound it back...
Got a leaking dipper stick cylinder. Done a couple simple cylinders before, so ordered a seal kit. Then decided to look at the WSM, where they specify a "slide jig" and "correcting jig" to install the piston seal, apparently over an O-ring, in the same groove.
Apparently the only way to...
Reinstalled BH after playtime with box scraper was over.
Found some oil spots on the ground after I parked for the day. Seems the dipper stick cylinder is seeping pretty good, even at engine idle and all valves in "neutral".
I'd have though there should be zero pressure under those...
Is there an alternative to replacing the entire drag link (p/n 32721-57713), which goes for over $200 USD?
One end has an annoying bit of play in the end.
The ends look pretty much like "tie rod ends" but are welded and not threaded. I can live with it till it breaks, at that price.
I may...
Opinions, experience with B7100 circa 1970's? There is a 1000 hr unit for sale near me. Thinking of it as a second unit just for maybe snow plowing (as a plow in front now) and to attach a box blade (have one) and/or york rake (to be obtained), so I can just leave the BH on the B21. The...

First attempt at using the 3pt hitch, since I purchased the machine used, several years ago.
Removed BH. The supply hose is connected to return, did not pop off and is not leaking.
Raised selector valve to 3pt hitch position. At idle and range, the arm does not lower as I move the position...
I'm replacing hoses on KJubota b21 FEL TL421. Couple of the metal pipes, that cross over the bucket to connect the cylinders, are bent from past abuse.
Wondering what a good way to "unbend" those pipes might be. I managed some of the smaller "warps" by hand and replaced a pipe that was...
Got a Kubota B21 with WR Long 4 in 1 bucket, with the control valve up front. I don't think this is a Kubota specific question.
I just bought a 54 inch Woods Box Blade (scraper they call it) and was thinking I should spring for a hydraulic top link. I guess I am feeling my age.
Looks like...
In my area, forested mostly, is on a mountainside, more or less, and the soil is laden with rocks, stones and some "big rocks"
Thinking To "de rock" some areas with the idea of making a garden/farm plot. Maybe an acre or less. At my stage even that might be too much.
Might also have to...
Thinking about a box blade, instead of a Land Leveler. Both EA items. While the LL seems easier, I really have more to do that just "maintain" the road/driveway. The drainage is poor and needs side drainage and crowning. Also have some ground, dirt, rocks, I need to clear up and level.
Most...
What is the actual weight of the BT751 backhoe?
Does not seem to be called out anywhere, but the WSM calls out the weight of the frame/FOPS/ROPS/FEL as 2858 lbs.
Various sources list the B21 between 3836-3990 suggesting the b/h is around 1000 pounds.
Asking as I am considering 3-pt hitch...
If using Rim Guard, can tire be plugged and have it hold? Currently the Ag tires on a machine I bought used are plugged. Maybe a newbie mistake, but I never thought to check, or ask. Anyway, after 2 years of use, still holding.
But, am considering loading tires. Local shop only does...
I have never used the PTO and 3 - pt hitch.
Considering an attachment for dirt and gravel scraping/leveling and wondering if there are any experienced folks with advice on what to do and what to avoid for setting up the 3 pt hitch.
Any comments on the attachments are fine as well. I am...
Got a B21 with the standard backhoe. Just replaced the in and out hoses and had a lot of fun in the process, cleaning up, including the couplers. In retrospect, it would have been a lot easier if I had detached the hoe before starting the job.
Multi part question
1 - I read the...
Got a gravel drive, shared with neighbors. A "road" actually.
Got in a load of item 4 (with small aggregate). Item 4 as it is known here, is basically small stone with grit and stone dust. Road base, some might call it.
Anyway, I'm finding it rather tedious trying to get a surface to my...
Email prompted this question. Seeing the front mounted snowblower on the Kubota, wondering if there is such a beastie (or any snowblower) for a B21. Curiosity mostly as it seems quite a hassle to replace either the bucket or the backhoe. And for the B21 I don't see an easy way to drive a...
There I was, happily moving rocks around, when . . . Surprise . . . I noticed oil where it should not be. On the outside of the machine.
Seems one, or more, of the hoses must be leaking where they snake through the boom. Well hidden in side the "narrows" and the abrasion sleeve. I presume...
I also posted this in the general repairs section.

Got an older (of course) 240 garden tractor with the 3 blade mowing deck and Kawasaki 13 HP engine.
Recently rebuilt the mower deck completely. Both belts are new. Last two time I had it out and mowing, it appears to be "lunging". That is...
Got an older (of course) 240 garden tractor with the 3 blade mowing deck and Kawasaki 13 HP engine.
Recently rebuilt the mower deck completely. Both belts are new. Last two time I had it out and mowing, it appears to be "lunging". That is, at any speed, it seems to slow, then speed up...
On my B21, bought used, there is a rectangular black box that was plugged in under the instrument panel. As I worked on it over time, I ended up unplugging it, since none of the wires appeared connected to anything. Seems to operate fine.
Google is no help finding out what this is, or might...
Just before it got cold, I posted about rising oil level in the crankcase. I do believe it is the hydraulic pump and ordered a seal.
I ran into some difficulty removing the pump. Specifically I could not seem to get a clear shot at one (or both) of the botls on the block side of the pump...
Went to start B21 this morning. Engine oil was over the full mark by about half the distance from "full to add". Seems I recall last time I ran it it was a bit above also.
I recall on Peugeot 504 diesels, at least with the non bosch fuel pump, this meant the front seal was leaking fuel down...
Got this craftsman Lt1000 917.272061 that gave problems starting. Think the clutch/brake interlock switch was bad. In any event, it is now. Two questions:
1 - It seems "impossible" to get the new switch in there without damage. OK, now you know why the switch is bad for sure. Seems the...
Just as an FYI, I broke down and got a BroTek mechanical thumb for my B21. The design has changed so the 3pt hitch center link is no longer used, operated and stows with one removable pin. Still bolt on.
Installed fairly easily and seems seems to do the job from what little I have done so far.
Have a 240 with 48 inch deck. Always been reluctant to start after sitting for weeks and would surge from time to time. Had to resort to ether to get it started. Now it will start, but not run above low idle. Won't run long enough to warm up. Fuel filter and air filter look fine. Gas is...
OK, this is an odd request. I picked up a tire inflator at a yard sale. The kind you can get at HF for 6 bucks. I paid 2, just because. Anyway it leaked at the screw behind the valve/trigger. Found the screw was actually cracked. He offered my money back, but I figured I could fix that...
Any idea what the correct fuel return hose size is? The stuff at the auto stores seems off. I could use it but would have to change all the clips as as the OEM won't fit over that hose.
Edited too korrect speling
Seems like the HST strainer elbow tube is quite stiff. Assuming its rubber. I'm concerned about cracking it at some point. So close to the end of this task I can taste it. Only some of that is brake cleaner overspray. I'm going out with a electric heat gun now to try and soften it up...
Kubota B21. Right front wheel and tire has gear oil on it. Dripped down from somewhere on the gearbox, I guess. Noticed it while changing hydraulic oil and filters. Was getting dark so did not try to isolate it.
Any one know if the seals can be replaced without completely tearing down the...
Having just resealed a couple cylinders, am about to drain fluid and replace filters.
No doubt this has been covered many times. If so, just point me to the right place. "Friendly local Kubota dealer" does not count. Transport being the obvious reason. Being a cheap so and so is the...
I am attempting to rebuild a welded double action cylinder. 2x1.5x6 (bore/shaft/stroke). Happens to be for a WR Long bucket on a Kubota, but I doubt that matters.
I've done brake calipers before, but never something like this. Seems simple enough, except . . .
The actual piston seal seems...
Book says front axle on B21 can be super UDT2 or 80 or 90 gear oil. I was planning to repair leaky 4n1 bucket cylinders soon, so was going to do the hydraulic filters and fluids as well.
I see no reason to use the outrageously expensive Super UDT2 in a plain old gear box, especially since one...
Pre-heated, glowed. Started, idled low, quit. Now starts and quits.
Unscrewed and removed fuel filter and fuel only drips out. There is fuel in the tank. I did have water last summer (don't ask) but drained it and ran it for several small jobs after that.
What's a good fuel treatment for...
Been thinking about a thumb for my Kubota B21.
Any experience with this outfit?
Mini Excavator Thumb Attachments | Excavator Thumbs | Backhoe Thumbs
Any other pointers?
Now that I located the 3pt hitch parts for my B21 I'm thinking about a post hole digger. Actually the main reason I went on that hunt.
Would about any unit work on a B21?
Got a Kubota B21 with a WR long HJ2L bucket on it. Wondering about "float mode"?
I was told that is a function of the valve, which in this case is only "open" or "closed".
Not sure what that means. Can someone enlighten me?
I know folks here have said the b3941 kit for B26 will fit perfectly on B21, but my local dealer
is reluctant to order it for me and he is not sure it will fit.
While I trust the advice I get here, if someone can provide the B26 part numbers or get me to a
B26 parts list, I can compare them and...
I have a Kubota B21 that is missing the 3pt hitch bits. Looking for the parts or the B26 kit B3941, which is supposed to fit. At reasonable cost, of course

Today was the day I was going to install a block heater on my B21. Thought I had a hex large enough to fit the plug that has to come out. I was wrong, or lost it.
Anyone know a cheap source of large hex wrenches, etc?
I picked up a Kubota B21 with under 900 hours, last fall. Ran it a bit, then it got cold and sat.
When trying it out everything seems to work OK, but the bucket "curl" seems weak. The soil here is quite rocky with bit of clay like dirt holding things together. Mid Hudson NY, Catskill...
My recent B21 seems to never heat up to where I think it should.
At first I thought the gauge must be bad, but that's not so, it just never seem to get "hot"
Previous owner says it has always run cool, from the factory. But I bought a new
thermostat anyway. Not in yet, too cold outside...
I recently got a B21, did a bit of light work with it before the snow. Now it is sitting under a tarp and a lot of snow, just waiting for me to go out and install
the block heater and new thermostat.
I was looking at getting a post hole digger for it and was looking for suggestions. Is the...
How to go about hiring a transporter? I'm in search of a mid to small size TLB and sometimes see one of interest in another State. Trying to decide if the price of the machine + shipping is worth it is not so easy, when ya don't know where to start. Plus, how to figure out who is reputable...
As I continue my hunt for a machine, I sometimes see "4 in 1" FEL buckets. I can see the "clam shell" action could be handy, but wonder what effect this has on the bucket strength, regarding being able to scrape up or dig into compacted soil/stone.
Also, what other motions factor into "4 in 1" ?
I'll just start a fresh thread since this is a different machine I was just told about. An l2850 with under 500 hours FEL and a New Holland B124 frame mount back hoe. Can't find any specs on the backhoe. I'm thinking of looking at it tomorrow. Priced in the same range and the L35 I was...
I'm offered a look at an orange tractor with a frame mounted New Holland B124 backhoe. Can I get specs on that somewhere? And opinions? But not about my spelling, please.
As may be obvious, I am new to tractors.
I was checking out an L35. under 2000 hours. Wondering what trouble areas to look for. Has new seals, starts right up, no odd noises or smoke (except white puff when raising rpm from idle). Neutral/fed/rev lever seems a bit "mushy" and hard to feel...
In my search for a TLB, I've come to see Allmand machines as a viable option. Seem capable, even if the gas engine models seem to wear faster.
But, when trying to search out info, seems Allmand does not list tractors in their product line on their web site. Are they still in that business?
2003 T5c Backhoe, 2WD, 2000 hrs. Is that a lot? May have been a rental machine, have not looked at it yet. What price range? How hard is it to repack hydraulic cylinders?
Looking at a b7200 4wd, gear trans. 1630 fel. 4520a hoe with its own pump. Looks like a subframe in that there is solid steel angles and bolts on the bottom but there is a adjustable link on top. Is that a true sub frame About 1100 hours guestimated. No noticable wet spots. Engine sounds...
Any ball parks for a B8200 4WD hydrostatic, FEL and a kelley (b600 ?) 3pt with PTO pump? Modest to light use (?).
No ROPS
Is there a frame mount for this setup?
I don't have a lot of experience and am looking for a machine for work around my house/foundation/yard. Drainage mostly.
I would choose a Kubota or Deere, but most of those are out of my ballpark, or, have been gone before I get more than a wiff.
But I do see Terramite t5c's around. I...
Greetings. I am a new boy to working tractors, but have rented and operated a mini backhoe and excavator from time to time.
Got a line on an L245DT with fel (?) and backhoe. It has seen a good bit of use has no ROPS and the meter is not working. It has a cracked fel arm and I believe I can...
