Anyone have a DK2 chipper? They advertise some units with a cyclonic chipper, others are a disk chipper. I know the concept behind the disk chipper, but what is a cyclonic chipper? I want to chip brush/limbs no bigger than 4", most much smaller. Some green material, some dry.

I thought this might have been covered somewhere already, but I can't find it. Example: A trailer with a 5880 lb payload rating (7000-1120=5880), with say 750-1,000 lbs on the tongue. Will this safely haul a 5900 lb excavator?

Went to a local MF dealer last week (CT). Was quoted $22,900 for 1532 HST, loader, R4s, 72 mos@0%. The MF web site config. gave me a price of $21,964. I would expect to pay full retail with the 0% finance, but this dealer is tacking on $936. Does this sound right?

The dealer installed a transmission heater in my 2520. I noticed in the parts manual that the heater element goes through the screen where the magnet normally goes. Do I not have a magnet now, or is the heater element also magnetized? Just wondering.

I searched the archives and couldn't find anyone using a hydraulic top link cylinder from Northern Tool. A 2500 psi 2" bore, 12" stroke, 22" Closed Pin distance for $62.00. Would something like this work for a top link?

I noticed that the B7610 has 24hp @ 2600rpm and the B2630 has 26hp @2800 rpm. Both engines have 68.5 cu.in. displacement. Would that mean if you wind the B7610 up 200 extra rpm it would produce 26 hp? I'm assuming the rated engine rpm gives you 540 rpm at the rear PTO.

Does anyone out there use a disc or plow with their B7610. I know (think) the 3 PH is strong enough to lift my KK Disc, but what about pulling it through the garden. I would leave the FEL on for extra weight.

What are some opinions on the minimum PTO hp to use a 72" RFM and a 60" rotary cutter? Moderate slope on the lawn and mostly over grown weeds for the bush hog.

For those of you that have an electric PTO switch, do you find the PTO engages smoothly or instantly like your foot slipped off the clutch? My concern is related to the 1428/1528 models.

I have only used gear drive tractors with a 2 stage clutch. Do tractors with an electric PTO switch somehow ease the PTO on or do they just engage suddenly like your foot slipped off the clutch. It seems to me I always eased the PTO on when I was using my old Brush Hog.

I was curious how easy/ not easy the engine oil change is on a MF1528. It looks like the eng oil filter is hard to get to, and I can't believe they left so little room to access the oil filler cap. I'm torn between the Kubota B3030/2630 and a MF1528 or 1428.

I almost signed on the dotted line line for a B3030, but backed off when I noticed how much the steering wheel (and deck) vibrated at all rpms. It's not nearly as smooth as the Case/NH , JD or MFs that I tried out. Was this machine a fluke or is this norm for the B series?

The Kubota brochure shows the B7610 as having an 18 hp PTO. It lists a 60" MMM as the biggest size available, but lists a 72" rear mount mower as available. Does the rear PTO have more power than the mid PTO? I currently use a Woods 72" rear mount finish mower on a 20hp PTO with no problems.
