    Korean tractor dilemma

The ls 225s is a sub compact. Like a tym t25 or a kubota bx23. If you look at a ls mt225e lift height is 92in at the pins and the mt 226e is 94.2in at the pins. Its not internet rumor, its a known issue with the tyms.
  30. C

    Korean tractor dilemma

Haha what? The lift hight for the mt 226 is identical to the kubota l2502. The kioti ck2620 is 2in high and the tym 2515 is about 8in higher. And yes the tym 2515 class of tractors are notorius for bending cylinders. Most likly due to trying to have the highest lift height and lift capacity...

    Korean tractor dilemma

So my ls 226 is comparable to the kubota l2502. My tractor weighs 3000lb with out loader or balast, loader is rated for 1900lb at 60in and 1500lb at full height of 94in. But the kioti ck2620 weighs around 2600-2700 lbs and is rated for the same as the ls lift wise. Being lighter you would think...

    Korean tractor dilemma

Im not stuck on loader lift but it is a big factor, same with ergo's i cant stand a loader mounted valve. The korean tractors do spec more and offer more per dollar, but at what cost? Reliability and parts support, is it worth it? Thats what i am trying to figure out
  49. C

    Korean tractor dilemma

Nope, at 9 hours the tach on the tym started going wacky and reading all over the place. At around 30hr the fuel tank split. The stops for the bucket on the loader frame were welded about 3/16" off from each other. So when you would dump the bucket the whole loader frame would twist. Coolant...

Why are Massey ferguson and Yanmar so much more than TYm for what seems like less??

Your paying for the name , dealer support and better quality control. I tride a TYM for a short while, they are designed well but the quality , fit and finish , dealer support was poor. Looked at kioti and ls, decided on ls . They seem to have the best quality of the korean brands, they make...

It has come down to the LS MT225HE or the Kioti CK2620

Look at the new ls mt 226. I just got mine in march and love it. Its the updated version of the 225 and has a higher lift capacity. The 226 and kitoti have the same capacities. I feel the quality is better on the ls after looking at both

    Spreadsheet and price creep hell

My ls 226 does not lift quite as much or as high as the tym 2515 . The ls and kioti 2620 are neck and neck. That said tym tends to have the highest lift capacity and height. But they seem to have more issues with bent cylinders than every body else

    Spreadsheet and price creep hell

What made me really want to upgrade was to get away from TYM. While i was doing it i decided to go up in frame size. More operator room , more stable, better lift and feels all around more like a real tractor. The subs and large subcompacts kinds feel like toys. I have yet to need more than...

    Spreadsheet and price creep hell

I really love my ls 226he. I went from a tym t25 to it. Tym customer support and quality really is not good at all. I was torn between the ls 226 and the kioti 2620 . Ls won on price and fit and finish

    Mt 226 oil leak

Took the loader sub frame off after church this morning so i could get to the rear bolts on the pan. The rear center one was finger tight, was able to get near half a turn on it. Fingers crossed that will solve it. But normally when an rtv seal is broken thats it and gotta replace it

Bh77 vs mini excavator / excavator size

    Mt 226he loader lift

Bh77 vs mini excavator / excavator size

Bh77 vs mini excavator / excavator size

Not apples to apples. But i just picked up one of those chinese 1tons to replace my tractors backhoe. I should have done it from the get go. It dosnt have quite the power of the backhoe, but it makes up for it in terms of speed and ease of use

So long story short, i decided to keep it and fix it up. Machine seems to handle it ok and the sturdyness of the deck made it seem worth while.. ordered a new blade pan, bolts and blades. Took a blade to tsc to try and match one up the best i can. I dont even know if they were the correct blades...

    Food plot and garden attachments

I rulled the disc out as i think my plots will be too small to use it. 40x40 garden and a couple 50x100 food plots. By time i get them working and cutting right , it will be time to lift them and turn around

So still trying to figure out what im going to do. Disc harrow is out. Plow and culltivator and some drags, or tiller. My step dad has a tiller says he hasnt used it but once on his food plot. Used it to break it up then just uses a cultivator since then. Have a hard time justifying spending...

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

I looked in a 200ft circle. Nothing. It didnt come out the front as im sure it would have hit the tractor. That sucker is gone

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

It broke the blade right on the other side of the weld. Scary stuff. No is the question to buy a new blade pan and blades? Or part ways with it and sell for parts. Only have 260 into it, but i could fix it for 200-250
  120. C

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

It was at idle which is 1400rpm. I may have to try turning idle down some

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

I didnt weld it, some farmer must have done it years ago. Im fine, i looked high and low for the rest of the blade i couldnt find it. I should have checked the underside of the mower better before i started using it. I broke one bolt just engaging the pto. This hit gave the tractor a little bog...

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

Well was doing some brush hogging this morning. Hit a tree root and broke a blade, some one had broken it before and welded it. Didnt break the shear pin which worries me some
  123. C

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

What grade shear bolt should i be using? I picked up grade 5 bolts and sheared one already just engaging the pto. Tractor idles at 1400rpm, and it slams in when i engage the electronic clutch. May have to try and lower the idle rpm

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

The walls on this one are about 8in or so. Id say the unit weighs 500-600lbs. The stuff i knocked down today was about 4ft tall, and wet as it was raining. Yes a 4ft cutter would be best, but they seem to be hard to come by used. Hard to justify spending 1300 on a new one when i only have to mow...

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

They list it as a sub compact. If it is its a large sub compact. Bigger than all the other scut i looked at. I used it today to test. 3pt lifts it just fine, front tires dont float. The brush i cut didnt slow or bog the motor at all. So it may be ok. Need to finish going through the bush hog...

    5ft brush hog on a 25hp compact

i have a tym t25 and i just picked up an old 5ft brush hog tonight. Thing is heavy built, deck is way thicker than the new entry units at tsc and rural king. That being said first i need to make sure the 3pt will lift it and the tractor handles it well. Second is if i have enough motor and if...

CLANGING in the front diff of brand new T494....what the heck

I get why you want the kukje motor for the non ecm mechanical motor. Yes they are based on old cummins engine designs , but they arnt a cummins. They seem to have an issue with cracking heads and trying to find a head is almost impossible. People have tride to have there heads repaired with so...

CLANGING in the front diff of brand new T494....what the heck

So we tear it down at our usa hq factory, then we send it to the dealer that has the warranty claim. Then we as the manufactor are left with the assembly that we had to tear down for parts as we are the ones that cant supply the part as its self. If tym its self wont do that then i can see the...

Also i work for a fork lift company ,who's hq is in korea. We run into parts avalibilty issues on a weekly bases. Got ya, i dont know where your located but im in kentucky, and picked up my tym in TN. I had issues with mine right off the bat, nothing as extreme as yours. Warranty misleading

In the booklet for my t25 it says to use the heal of the bucket for back dragging to prevent cylinder damage. Hard to get used to doing after running real equipment and using the cutting edge. I agree getting ahold of tym is a pita
