I read where he wanted to unload a pallet that weighs 2000 pounds which may be a bold ambition for the tractor without throwing off a few bags first. I don’t think he plans on unloading 2000 pallets. He should probably get a dedicated forklift if he is.

I would go with the first picture where it’s backed on because the tractor is all the way on the trailer that way. You’ll probably end up hitting the bucket in a sharp turn loaded the other 2 ways.

Hydraulic fluid likely wouldn’t hurt the engine even if you filled it to capacity with it and ran it. The minuscule amount that’s left after you flushed it definitely won’t hurt anything. Fill it with the correct oil and don’t worry about it.

I usually try removing the grease fitting and drilling the old grease out behind it before I remove the pin. Also put the grease fitting on the grease gun while it’s removed and see if it flows through easily. I’ve seen them get stopped up.

I wouldn’t reuse those. Small ends aren’t that expensive and those are pretty roached anyway.

This was a 1/2” grade 70 and it didn’t take long at all to cut with a cordless grinder.

You can jack the tractor up just enough to take pressure off the lug bolts and roll the tire out of the way. If you had an engine hoist to lift up on the tire you could increase the safety of the plan.

Chain or cable is more of a feel good measure and maybe stops a crime of opportunity but a cordless grinder cuts chain in just a second.

The Ford got 9.5 on the trip home empty, 9.5 with a 6500 pound camper on a 120 mile trip, and 9.5 with that trailer in picture the with a skid steer or mini x. The emissions system is intact.

I used to have a L3240 with a BH90 backhoe and I’ve had a few diggers in between but I currently own a KX-040-4 excavator. The difference between the tractor and the excavator is about the same difference between the tractor and a shovel.

I had a Titan grapple that was garbage. Then I bought a skid steer that came with a titan root rake that was even worse quality.

I wouldn’t buy an attachment form Titan period and I for sure wouldn’t buy one thats underrated for the job.

An excavator without ac is ridiculous hot. Unless you lived in a climate that doesn’t get hot that would be a no for me.

Look at the top part of the hitch it’s square. The bottom piece where it’s split is almost round. It undoubtedly filled up with water and froze which split the tube and also stretched it almost round.

I don’t see how it could be anything besides freeze damage. It looks like the whole tube is swelled from freezing.

The truss builder would 100 percent say no. No manufacturer is going to accept the liability of approving this plan. And as you say the bottom cord isn’t approved for loading unless it was a floor truss. Trusses or buildings in general aren’t designed for point loads either.

I’ve never seen a wagon wheel with spokes that heavy. It looks like it was designed to be mounted in the center and spin while holding something on the ends. But I have no idea what.

I’d use 2” 1/4” wall tube that I know would work without having to engineer anything. The lighter tube would be marginal. I’m not sure that hanging it from a single truss is a good plan either.

I have the USA ripper with the smooth body. Based on previous experience with a skid steer stump bucket that was serrated I feel like the serrated edge was better. I’d buy a ripper with a serrated edge if I was buying again.

When it comes to cutting dirt heavier is always better. Throwing some bricks on a poorly made tool doesn’t make it equal. You can reduce the angle of the heavier tool to make it cut less.

The previous poster is probably right that it’s currently sitting on the jacks. I think if it dropped and landed on the tailgate it would’ve torn it completely off if the jacks didn’t stop it first.

I’m not sure what that listing translates to in American dollars but I’m not sure why they need a 4” trailer ball. A standard American 2-5/16 gooseneck ball and hitch can be bought with at least a 30,000 pound rating. If it’s heavier than that it’s time to get a semi and use a kingpin.

A 2500 truck or a 3500 single wheel truck with a 14k trailer should be able to legally move a Kubota 75 or equivalent without a CDL.

The original tractor warranty may be transferable but the auction houses never offer warranty. If you buy it it’s yours. Keep in mind you’ll be paying buyers premium, likely a convince fee for online bidding, and your state sales tax.

The tracks should release the tension fairly easily. Sometimes on old machines the track tensioner seals will blow out and instead of fixing it people will put in hard stops. Are you sure that’s not been done?

I usually pull the big bolt completely out when I want to release the tracks. My dozer has a separate bolt to release the grease so you can leave the grease fitting alone but none of my other machines do.

The hoses themselves are self sealing. Usually they have 90 degree fittings that screw into the cylinders. Some machines have O rings on those fittings but pipe thread that requires sealant is more common.

Loosen the grease fitting and push the idler in to loosen the track first thing. Then work the track back onto the idler. A second machine to help pull the track will make your day easier. Also only lift the machine off the ground the bare minimum required height. If a bunch of track is hanging...

Putting ends back on old hoses is generally a bad idea. The local hose shop will do it but no warranty on the work. I’ve done it and it didn’t take long to blow off again. And hose crimpers take serious force. There’s really no way to make one cheap enough for diy purchase.

The fuel tank is in the door which was swung outward and it didn’t melt through until it was already engulfed. The hydraulic tank is steel and I don’t think it ruptured. I think this fire was mostly fueled by rubber and plastic components in the engine bay.

It is insured. And it’s definitely totaled but the dirt saved the tracks that only have 50 hours use, the forestry door, the seat and the attachment that wasn’t insured.

My 75-3 Kubota caught on fire today. The engine bay on this machine was completely clean. It’s never even been in the woods before. It flashed an error code about the injectors and a minute or so later and it was in flames. It had 55 hours on it.

If it was a good bushhog I’d have no problems throwing out a $250 opening bid. It’s probably going to sell for $1k anyway. But more times than not the auctioneer starts the opening bid way higher than that.

You’re basically wasting time compacting clean stone. The roller will smooth it out and make it look better but it will roll around again as soon as you drive on it. The stone dust or crusher run is the only way to make it lock together.

I hauled firewood in a wagon pulled with my zero turn for years. Mowing the whole yard with one hand might be a struggle but I can easily drive the zero turn with one hand. I’d never go back to regular riding mower. The zero turn is vastly superior.

Where can you get such a license? I’ve only ever heard of a CDL vs regular license.

If you hook a 15,000 pound trailer to single rear truck with a 10,000 pound GVW then you don’t need a CDL. If you hook the same 15,000 pound trailer to a dually with a 12k GVW then you would need a CDL.

A tiller is one of the best ways to strip topsoil without a dozer. It’s way easier to scoop up the topsoil and maintain depth after it’s broke up with a tiller. It’s also a lot more usable when it’s broke up vs in big clods like a dozer makes when it’s pushed off.

Other than cost there’s zero reason to get a geared transmission on that size tractor. A HST is much more productive and easier to use. A gear trans will pull a disc across a field better than a HST but that’s about it.

I wouldn’t bother using dowels at all for a edge to edge joint. The glue is plenty strong by itself. And sand down the dowels until they fit without issues.

It takes the same amount of fluid to dump loaded or empty. If it doesn’t run out empty and it doesn’t leak it will be fine.

The problem is those electric pumps don’t have much reserve. If you overfill the tank when the bed is up it will at minimum blow fluid everywhere when it comes back down. It could explode the tank if it doesn’t vent fast enough.

Does the bed go all the way up without starving for fluid? If so I’d leave it alone.

That would be a hard no for that size excavator. You’d need an 80 class excavator to preform that lift. I have a Kubota 40 and it will lift 3,000 pounds at a close radius but the capacity is much less at the height you’d need to unload a sack from a truck.

Rubber was better back then at least that my opinion. Lots of tires and hoses that are 10 years old look like garbage yet plenty of tires and hoses from 50 years ago look ok.

I’d just dump some gear lube in and not worry about it. I’ve never seen a gear box fail that had oil in it. It’s when they have no oil that the problems start.

I’d drive that tractor over a gravel leech field everyday and not worry. The plastic chambers aren’t as durable. As long as the soil has sufficiently settled in and it’s sufficiently dry it should be ok over the chambers. The best answer is still to not do it.
