This isn’t really towing wrong, but notice the stop line 2 cars behind me. There also is a sign stating “do not block road” so that oncoming traffic can turn left while we are sitting at the red light. Funny thing, I don’t need a sign to tell me that; and we don’t even have traffic lights up here.

My father converted a front mounted cordwood saw from a Farmall to go onto the 3pth of the 8N. When he traded that for his first Kubota he bought a saw which ran off the 3pth. Before I can remember but I believe he also had a bolter mill which he ran off a "hit and miss" one lunger. He used to...

How Many Hours Do You Spend on Your Tractor(s)?

I bought mine in 2017 with 175 hours on, it now has around 1050. Annual use depends on what I am doing. I did the 800 hour service on it last fall, so this year has seen more use than other times. I have a canopy, which is nice on sunny days. I have crunched that on trees often enough that I...

I don't know Jack Schtick about this type of implement but when they said it was $350 I grabbed it. Today I took the tractor up, loaded...

^^^^^ It isn't just when working the hoe, either. That's a lot of weight sticking out the back and there is a lot of sideward movement when traversing. I have a 750 Woods which I use sparingly. I plan to get a subframe but it will have to be modified as they don't make one for such an old...

That's the way it is. In the 1600s people came here because land was plentiful and they could do as they wished. Can you manually turn the pto hookup on the back of the tractor?

There is some way to get around that on many tractors if the brake is fully engaged. (I would have to read my manual again.) I disabled mine because I couldn't even turn on the seat to look at where I was tilling or mowing without the switch shutting the engine down.

When I was about 13 my brother took a safety course. Back then one of the most common tractors on farms was the Ford N series. Anybody who has run one knows how high geared they are. He was told a lot of kids were injured or killed on them because they'd be horsing around, pop the clutch and...

I do that all of the time... Including 3 hours ago when hooking up the mower. I also keep both parts lubed with 00 grease so that it goes together better. I know that you had nothing to do with it but this isn't right. It's not the dog's fault it had idiots for owners.
