Kubota Kx71-3ss mini excavator without A/C

By way of following up.... I bought a KX71-3 without a cab. I am constantly on and off the machine, so it didn't make sense to have a cab with or without A/C. I think not having a cab will suit my purposes better. Also, the horsepower on this machine is not large, so I'd just as soon use all of...

    Mini Excavator Skid Steer adapter

Has anyone on this forum had experience with an adapter that allows the use of skid steer implements on a KX71-3 mini excavator or similar ?

Kubota Kx71-3ss mini excavator without A/C

Thanks. That's sound advice. I've found, however, that if I'm running my SVL75 track steer with an open door, the interior gets awfully dirty. So I think I'll opt for either a cab with A/C, or no cab at all. Thanks again.

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

I've used many flails over the years. Seppi, Rears, TriMax, Befco, Alamo and a few that I've probably forgotten. I prefer the Befco for several reasons. The housing is a little taller than some which means that there is more room for tall grass to stand up and be cut. Flails give their best cut...

Kubota Kx71-3ss mini excavator without A/C

I am looking at a very nice 2019 Kubota Kx71-3ss with a cab. I was surprised to find that it was built without air conditioning. On a tractor, I wouldn't even consider that, but maybe on an excavator it is more manageable. I probably wouldn't be spending an entire day in the cab, like with a...

    Winch wiring for SVL75-2

Thanks. Most Holmes winches are driven by a chain pto on the tow truck. The electric ones like mine are scarce. The hydraulic models are extremely rare. The nice thing about the electric is being able to control it from outside of the cab. I've ordered an original manual reprint. It should be...

    Winch wiring for SVL75-2

I'm putting an electric winch on the front of my SVL75-2. It's a Holmes (Ramsey) winch from a tow truck. My question is whether there is an easy way to get the 12V power up front, other than just hooking into the battery terminals and running heavy gauge wire.

    Touch up paint

I've done touch up work on my 1980's tractors with spray cans and with a small detail brush. I have yet to find a John Deere green that stays green and doesn't turn blue. The only paint available from the Deere dealer was for spray guns, and was too thin to brush on small spots. Does anyone have...

Rear discharge finish mower vs side discharge

I have been trying a Befco 6' finish mower on lawn grass. It leaves behind clumps of grass. I was told that a side discharge won't do this. Ironic, since I bought the rear discharge because I thought the side discharge would leave windrows. Is it possible to get a good cut and a clean lawn with...

    SVL75-2 error code 008

My SVL75-2 track steer has been sitting unused indoors for a couple months in an unheated building . It started up just fine yesterday, but gave an error code 008, which the manual says has to do with the no reading from the water in fuel sensor. Seems like the problem has something to do with...

    Kubota SVL75-2 loader

I have a question that someone my be able to help with. I'm using a 7 foot boom on my loader and I noticed that with an extra heavy weight, the loader can lift, but not curl. In fact, if the loader is curled and I make the lift, the loader will "uncurl" until it stops at its mechanical limit. I...

    Kubota SVL75-2 wiring

Does anyone have a wiring diagram they could share? I'm wondering which fuse covers the 14 pin connector. I have no power at the 4 prong connector on the left rear side that the 14 pin harness connects to. Thanks.

Sickle Bar  Gaspardo / Frontier sickle bar mower

I just bought a used SB1107 Frontier double acting sickle mower made by Gaspardo. Unlike my other Gaspardo mower, this one has knife guards that are bolted on rather than riveted. A nice feature that saves time if a knife guard needs to be replaced, as the knife guard bar needn't be removed...

    Deere 709 Rotary Cutter

I own two Bush Hog 307 rotary cutters that I use to mow fields and brush and I am very pleased with the quality of their cut. I recently purchased a John Deere 709 rotary cutter because I thought the balloon tires would be good on soils that might be a little wet. I cannot get a good cut with...

    Shaver post driver

I have a Shaver HD8 with hydraulic positioning. In operation, the force of the impact can cause the vertical positioning cylinder ram to move 3/4" or so. In other words, under sudden force, the cylinder isn't holding rigidly. I can't see how there would be any air in the system that would cause...

    JD 245 Loader

I have a new (to me) Deere 2750 tractor that came with a 175 loader. The loader seems a little small and is not a self leveling model. How difficult would it be to switch the loader to a 245? Would that be a good choice? Ultimately, I will be mounting an adapter so that I can use buckets forks...

    PTO Shaft Size

I am replacing the pto shaft on a 38HP tractor (Antonio Carraro) driving a 60" flail mower. The current shaft "bottoms out" when I raise the implement, causing damage to the lock groove in the splines. According to my measurements, I need 3 1/2" of telescoping ability on the shaft to avoid the...
