    Do Nothing Machine.

I didn't know the best place to put this. It is called the "Do Nothing Machine." It was designed and built by my best friend's father who is in his mid 80's. The friend is a member of TBN (whitewater) but is very busy and gets more seat time that I do by far. His father was my high school...

    Global Warming?

I had a visitor so I had to wonder off for a while. But I'm back now. You didn't say anything that bothered me, in fact, I thought you made a good point that is near the root of this thread. So, in keeping with the pattern of this thread, I surmised you were due for some sort of punishment for...

    Global Warming?

I think I see those off to the left, but there seems to be almost nothing coming out of them, and what is coming out is unknown. The picture is a face full of cooling towers emitting water vapor as best I can tell. I think it is very misleading.

Does anyone remember? I do. Share your memories..

Any of you remember what it's like to put that first wet and sandy bunch of tobacco leaves under your arm at the first light of day. If you do, you know you started early to avoid the heat. And sure enough, it's not hot when you arrived, but it sure is muggy sometimes, and sometimes foggy. But...

Does anyone remember? I do. Share your memories..

We had a big family so we had a big garden too. One of the things we grew were strawberries. Some mornings, breakfast was biscuits or pancakes smothered with hot strawberry sauce. :):licking: We ate lots of good food like cornbread and milk, cooked cabbage, collard greens, creases, creamed...

    Farmpro 2430 Tool Box Question

Many of the things that came with the tractor in boxes were not passed on to me yet, and I have lost faith in the seller. I am poking around for some of the components that may be nice/handy. I think it was supposed to have a tool box, but I am not sure. I am talking to Affordable Tractor, and...

Farmpro 2430 Ball joints and hydraulics pics

Last weekend, I did a bunch of work on the tractor, and I took pics. I made a slide show, and most of the pics have a description. Both ball joints have a broken piece in it I will call a "dish." The spring pushes the dish against the pin ball. Are the dishes available separately? Here is the...

    Deal or no deal--farmpro

I am going to look at at tractor in an hour, but I don't know a lot about it. It is a Farmpro, has 40 hours, and is a 2006 model, claims 35HP, with a FEL, backhoe, and the lift links. He was into house rehab, but the economy crashed on him, and the tractor has been parked for a...

    8N Ford-What is this lever?

In the middle picture that I encountered in a different thread: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/general-vintage-tractors/132276-vintage-farmer-his-tractor.html#post1522016 Just below the seat, there is a lever. It is not very long. What does that lever do? We had a tractor just like this...

May need a heat pump. Any brand suggestions?

My Lennox heat pump is over 20 years old, and there is a good deal of corrosion and such in the outer unit. Now, even though all motors run, and the compressor too, it does not cool much. I suspect the line set. A few years back, the line set leaked due to being run on the ground under the...

Cross port checks need upstream ported to tank

I am not a hydraulic expert. But I am what passes for one in our factory. For some reason, the mechanical folks leave the hydraulics to the electrical folks, and the electrical folks are lead by me. We have many diverse hydraulic systems, and often there is a cross-port check valve. I have...

    Hydraulic Quick Coupler Problem.

I have been known to ramble, so let me tell what I think is happening: The hydraulic QC nipple poppet has a weaker spring than the poppet spring on the female body. When the two mate, the poppet tips collide, as they should. The collision of the two poppet tips is supposed to open both poppets...

    Tater digger/subsoiler/trailer and Redlandhill

I finally got my potato digger/sub-soiler/trailer mover going. I bought it new a year or two ago, but it was too big for my BX2200, since the implements would not clear the ground even with the lift full up. I resolved the problem by cutting out the top plate, and drilling new holes. It was more...

    Kubota safety circuit description-post yours.

For the BX2200: Current from the Battery + terminal goes to the + terminal of the starter solenoid. Also connected to that terminal is a 12 Red wire. It goes: 1)through 30 amp slow blow fuse. Then splits. 2)the path we are interested in is to Terminal 30 of the ignition switch. 3)in start...

    Is this your BX2200?

I happened upon this site a while back BX full layout pictures from hobbies & interests photos on webshots and I wondered if the owner is a member of tractorbynet, and if so who? This is the first site Google will bring up in response to the query "BX2200 mods." And this has been so for at...

M-F 174 Hydraulic remotes spit air

M-F 175 Hydraulic remotes spit air My elderly H.S. math teacher needs a hand, and I have two. Although I live in town and have a little Kubota for mowing the yard, he has a M-F 175 with what looks like dual factory remotes. Tractor: M-F 175 multi-power lever on dash. Remote levers on driver's...
