Too easy to do yourself. Take out the valve inner and clamp a garden hose to the valve. Rotate the valve to the 10 o'clock position first.

Check the safety switch under the seat and the PTO safety. Since the glow plugs don't come sometimes, check the ignition switch too.

Can you remove the solenoid then try it. If it's got one wire to it make sure it's grounded for it to work.

Usually you pull the PTO shaft out a bit from the rear. Can you take a picture where the PTO should be.

Update. In the Front Plate (27) There are two grub screws. They were lose. I dusted some talcum powder over the plate, put the tractor together and ran it. The powder showed where the leak came from. I never would have guessed.

Starter motors work or they don't usually. Check the injectors.

Can you see any bolts outside the rocker cover? If so fit a socket to the bolt head. This will tell you the size of the bolts. Or remove the rocker cover to find the bolt to size. Looking at this websites gasket details, it mentions Casting Numbers...

It's a good idea to replace the o'rings.

Sounds like a clogged Injector. Pull the injector out and reconnect it to the fuel line outside the engine. Stay away from the injector and crank the engine to see if a fine mist is emitted. If it just spirts it's a worn injector.

Hi Folks, I've got a mystery. There is a leak out the bottom between the bell housing and HST gearbox. There is a void where the 4WD shaft comes out the gearbox. I have changed the gasket and seals everywhere in that void and it still leaks somewhere. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hi Folks, I've got to troubleshoot a power steering problem with a 537 tractor. The steering goes very hard to turn after a steering lock. The pump has been replaced with a new one, but the problem keep occurring. Any ideas please! Attached pic is the replaced pump. Thanks.
