    New garage time!

Well now i'm in thailand. I saw this last time, but wasn't sure. It's a tankless hot water for $75. Thailand runs on 220v. Everyone has them, next to their shower. I was thinking I could get this to adapt to my radiant floor for the shop. I think it's just a simple heating element and...

Right now i have a range extender on the back porch and inside the shop, and it's not nearly fast enough to handle the cameras, or even an HD stream. Ditched the ground spikes idea when i decided to run conduit so I can pull fiber lines. Busted through the basement wall right where I wanted. Tonight I made ground spikes. I cut the flat stock at 8", then bent it in my home made metal brake. Then wrapped it in electrical tape and cut a spike. They'll be used to hold the water pipe to the bottom of the trench. I have 4" of sand and my depth is 28", where my frost line is 24". I have...

Fisker's got their wallbox pulsar plus 40a charger on sale for $250. Works with any J1772 car. It's a good deal, if it ships, as the normal price is $650 on amazon and the only difference is the sticker on the front. I just ordered one. https://store.fiskerinc.com/FM2998150020A.html...

So my $200 amazon chinesium charger crapped out. I've put in a warranty claim, but as I wait, I need to charge. So I open the charge app and see what's in the area. Finally got the 3rd support structure done. I had to cut the last piece 3 times, wasting a lot of material. The first time I somehow cut it backwards despite holding it up and marking. The second I took my eyes off hte bandsaw for a minute and cut through. 3rd was ok. Also cut and drilled...

They definitely do. I have a lot of ladders and they all get used, but working for an extended period of time with heavy stuff, it gets old. Fatigue on the feet. The biggest pain is no where to put the welder, the leads are not that long to have the base on the ground and weld 13' up. I got...

It saves so much energy compared to a ladder. Also gives me a place to set the welder. I wasn't going to break it out but this ended up being a bigger job than I thought. Every piece needs put in place, clamped, marked, unclamped, cut, welded. It's a lot of up and down, which takes a lot of energy.

Strength is important, but really the strength is already there. I'm just looking to combat sag. Over the span there's about 1cm of drop. Recommendations for hand held electric pavement breaker please

Could you drill your own oil well, and make a refinery, to the point that it was completely automated, to give gas to your car, for $15k? That would be impressive. I'm building my solar system from scratch, myself, with parts I bought directly from china. I'm not getting **** from your taxes...

How much do you pay for electricity every month? I pay about $500. An off grid system for me is about 8k in batteries, 3k in panels, 3k in inverters. Add in some wire, and round to 15k. No electric bill, and paid for itself in 2.5 years. That's about what a whole house backup generator costs...

I'm deploying my own solar system. Panels are so cheap they're almost free. I'm also deploying a huge battery pack, since the price of that has come through the floor. 90kwh is a 3 day supply for the house. Plus the fisker has a 113kwh battery, and supports powering the house as well. Solar...

Solar is the "big thing" these days. That doesn't include permitting or grid tie connection fee. That 26k is $4-6k in products on hte high end, they're pocketing at least 20k. Panel price has absolutely crashed, inverters aren't that expensive.

Also, with my setup, you can use the grid as well. You can get a separate breaker box and wire it up with the inverters and put breakers on them that you know don't draw a lot of power. it will always draw from the inverters. The inverters can pull from solar, battery, or grid depending on which...
